I'm disappointed at you Jeffx for not knowing Novak.

CLIPPERS WIN!
That's something you don't get to hear very often.

I liked the effort on defense.Knicks were active & physical. They lost their toughness in the third quarter - Rondo & Bass killed them, but Carmelo rescued them in the fourth. Sucks losing Shumpert. The backcourt has issues.

Knicks picked up guard Jeremy Lin, who was cut by Houston.

Qballer will cheer for the Knicks now.
Sat Dec 31, 2011 3:44 am
Knicks offense is as bad as the defense. No movement, no cutting, nothing. It's just iso Carmelo, iso Amar'e or chuck up threes. Hey Pringles, aren't you supposed to be an offensive guru?
...and don't get me started on this 'defense'.
Sat Dec 31, 2011 4:40 am
I'd rather see the Knicks return to run n' gun then to see them try and play 'defense' and run a shitty half-court set. These last 2 games have been frustrating, especially in the 4th quarter.

I'm guessing it's the lack of a good PG, Toney Douglas is still a year or two away from developing into that kind of PG the Knicks offense can depend on.

There was better ball movement last night against the Kings. The Harrelson kid had a solid game.
Tue Jan 03, 2012 6:24 am
Let's see how they play against Toronto tonight. Hopefully the ball movement continues.
Tue Jan 03, 2012 1:10 pm
How is that not a foul on Harrellson?
Tue Jan 03, 2012 4:42 pm
Knicks desperately needs a PG that would set the tempo and execute pick and rolls and throw lobs to Chandler. Baron could fill that role but they say he'll be out maybe until Feb. Roster is pretty much a D-league team with Tyson, Amare and Melo. When one of them is out, they really struggle and tough to watch.

Whoops.
Fri Jan 06, 2012 7:26 am
Knicks got owned by a fat Boris Diaw - fucking pathetic.
Sat Jan 07, 2012 1:15 pm
It's a good sign for the Knicks that Carmelo is having a great season. Good win over the Wizards who's now 0-7. John Wall also had a pretty good night but he was still erratic on turnover department. And his stats so far are worse than last season which was his rookie year.

Isiah Thomas isn’t happy with New York’s recent moves"The guard play right now in the NBA is off the charts,'' Thomas said. "Losing Chauncey, I thought he brought a veteran leadership to the team. His savviness and guard play has always been severely undervalued. Detroit found that out when they let Chauncey go. I think there was a certain amount of leadership to what he brought to [the Knicks] last year.''
"If you don't have great guards, it's hard to put together a game plan,'' Thomas said. "You're only as good a coach as your guards."
He may have a point, their rotation at guard is far from the most impressive in the league. Still, acquiring Chandler seems the better move long term, Fields is a quality player with plenty of promise and between future moves and potential of a couple of their young players, the situation could improve. And even if he does have a point, I doubt Isiah would've made moves that were any better.

After what he did to this franchise, the LAST person I want to hear from is Isiah.
I'm glad Pringles finally woke up, sat Toney Douglas' ass down and gave Shump more PT. Douglas is not a starter nor a PG.
Wed Jan 11, 2012 2:31 am
What are your thoughts on Shumpert, Jeffx? I think he is definitely a starter in this league, but I'm not convinced he's better off starting at PG rather then SG. I love his hustle, defense, and intensity though.
Wed Jan 11, 2012 1:26 pm
Isn't he listed as a SG? But Melo is averaging nearly 35% usage, who's also a backcourt player so PG position wouldn't matter as much? Nothing compared to Kobe's 38.2% though.
Wed Jan 11, 2012 8:09 pm
I believe so, but he's also seeing time at point guard.

I love Shump. He's definitely a 2 - he's playing the 1 because Davis is hurt and Toney Douglas is a disaster. Pringles had no choice. Once Baron comes back, Shump will stay a SG.
Hopefully we'll get the MOTIVATED Baron Davis. It's scary the Knicks are pinning their hopes on him.
Interesting game tonight. Philly is playing lights-out basketball.

what the hell happen to landry fields?
Thu Jan 12, 2012 8:10 pm
The Carmelo Anthony trade, that's what happened.
