The overall record wasn't given but on PTI Wilbon mentioned that the fewest road wins by an NBA champion in the postseason is three.

Fri May 16, 2008 2:49 pm

The 1988 Lakers (15-9) and 2003 Spurs (16-8) both won titles in 24 games. 2006 Heat (16-7), 2005 Spurs (16-7), 2004 Pistons (16-7) all did 23 games. As did the 1984 Celtics (15-8) and 1994 Rockets (15-8).

If Wilbon is correct, those 1988 Lakers would be the ones: http://www.basketball-reference.com/tea ... games.html
3-7 on the road, 12-2 at home.

Sat May 17, 2008 1:36 pm

We seem to be forgetting we're on the internet...
Most overtime periods, game
6-Indianapolis (75) at Rochester (73), January 6, 1951

Most recent, 5OT: http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 90MIL.html

Since I´m not that familiar with college basketball, I wanted to know how strong is this years draft compared to last years, overall and top picks?

Mon May 26, 2008 4:07 am

Not that strong.

Hard to argue.
It's kinda playin' the same role at last years draft.
Two phenoms, one team. Will Chi-town choose Beasley or Rose ?
A PG who lead his team into the Championship game ? Or the Forward who lead the Nation in Rebounds and Points ?
Alot of questions come to mind but, I can see this draft being a strong one with the talent they have.
It's the year of the freshmen for this years draft. A shit load of freshmen players with alot of potential a head of them.
Like OJ Mayo said, "There are more than two players who could go number one."

With the top picks that are headin' into this draft, you already got comparisons to high profile players like ...

Derrick Rose - Dwyane Wade
Michael Beasley - Amare Stoudemire/Antawn Jamison Hybrid
Brook Lopez - Chris Kaman
OJ Mayo - Ben Gordon
Anthony Randolph - Lamar Odom/Chris Bosh Hybrid
DeAndre Jordan - Dwight Howard/Andrew Bynum

Those are there best case scenarios for some of the players I mentioned up there. And no... I don't wanna argue with some of the comparisons I have made. Haha

Has a team ever came back from down 0-2 to win a series twice in one postseason?

Tue May 27, 2008 2:10 am

I can't remember any offhand, though two seperate teams came back from 0-2 in the Playoffs last year; the Jazz in the first round and then of course the Cavs in the ECF.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:32 am

Is there someone who has been rookie game MVP twice ? Rookie year and sophmore year both.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:57 am

If the Celtics win the title having to go 7 games against the Lakers, will they be the first champions to have to play all their series to the full 7 games?

No because they won it in 6 against Detroit.

:wall: Ugh...sorry forgot for some reason, brainfart. I guess on that note, I should change my question to: Has any team that has won the championship played a full series in each round? How about any team that has made the finals?

EDIT: Nvm, pointed out by buzzy that Sauru asked this earlier, top of this page, and benji already answered.

I just got owned twice by buzzy  .

If you look at the top of this page, you see the same (well it means the same) question asked by Sauru. benji answers two posts after.

Not as yet.

Team that changes its city (moved) most?

Tue Jun 03, 2008 3:41 pm

I think the Clippers; but I'm not sure.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:31 pm

Buffalo Braves => San Diego Clippers => LA Clippers

I think the Kings got it.

Rochester & Cincinatti Royals, Kansas City Kings, and Sacramento Kings.

Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:42 am

On a similar note, I believe the Wizards have gone through the most name changes: Chicago Packers, Chicago Zephyrs, Baltimore Bullets, Capital Bullets, Washington Bullets and now Washington Wizards.

Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:46 am

i hate name changes, its like shitting on your history, imo anyway. besides bullets > wizards

Wed Jun 04, 2008 3:58 am

Didn't the Hawks go through quite a few name and city changes as well?

Wed Jun 04, 2008 4:31 am

Tri-Cities Blackhawks
(1946–1951)
Milwaukee Hawks
(1951–1955)
St. Louis Hawks
(1955–1968)
Atlanta Hawks
(1968–present)

Four city changes
