it was also fun to see aaron mckie and shammond williams play... got me thinking that the two will play spot minutes come playoff time... mckie looked reall good, eventhough he hasn't played in any game this season.

Damn, Smush is injured. Even though he sucks, why do we get all the injuries this year? (N) Look at our PG streak.

2006/7: Smush starts 56 consecutive regular season games
2005/6: Smush start 82 consecutive regular season games, 7 playoff games
2004/5: Chucky Atkins starts 82 consecutive regular season games
2003/4: Gary Payton stars 82 conseuctive regular season games, 22 playoff games
2002/3: Derek Fisher starts 82 consecutive regular season games, 12 playoff games
2001/2: Derek Fisher starts the final 10 regular season games, all 19 playoff games.

Regular season streak: 394
Streak overall: 454

DAMN! :furious:

I dont even know why we got the guy. How is he content just sitting at the end of the bench at his age, he doesnt even get garbage minutes. I think thats the first I ever heard of him playing.

Funny how at the beginning of the last year, he was supposed to be the initiator of the triangle. he was slotted as the starting PG before Smush came on.

I wanna see more Shammond & McKie! (Y)

Feels so good to see LA making big plays down the stretch against Utah on the road. Real confidence booster. Its now 92-84 with 2 minutes to go. Lets hold on and win this one guys.

edit: Shit!!! 4 point play for Fisher. 06-91 LA.

EDIT: TURNOVER EVANS, FISHER FOR 3! 2 PT BALLGAME!

edit: phew!! :(
Kobe hit 2 free throws, 4 pt game with 20 seconds. Come Utah, miss a shot!

edit: Excelleeeent! LA to the free throw line with 9 seconds to go.

DAMN! I hate these type of games. We lost because
A) No defense
B) Sasha playing the whole 4th quarter
C) Kobe not being aggressive in the 2nd half(Does he like "fear" Artest or something?)

Who else thinks the Suns are getting 150 points on Sunday? (N)

My bad, guess the boxscore had a little bug and it read the other way around.

i don't think he said that KOBE is the BEST.

i think he said that KOBE had ALL the tools necessary to become the best player in the league.. he just have to have the right mindset or something to that effect.

after kobe hit 81pts, pippen wrote in his nba blog that kobe does not have the mental game that MJ had. I think it would be good for the LA team to have pippen play for them, just to teach them the mental game and the grit of the '96 bulls defense.

anybody the game on K-CAL tonight? of course Mark Blount coming in the clutch with 3 3 pointers late to help force OT was the key performance.

Lakers standing around late in the game. They couldn't inbound at half court, didn't box out, and were barely moving around on both sides of the floor. Looked like they had the game won at the end of regulation and the first overtime, but allowed Minnesota to make plays. Aaron McKie could have thrown the ball off of his defenders back on an inbounds play because his back was turned, not to mention Brian Cook wide open on another inbounds play. That was a dissapointing loss.

Kobe does it again surprise surprise

Postby joejam999 on Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:34 pm

Late in the Wolves Lakers game Kobe needs to draw a foul (it is the only way he can win/score half his points) and hit's Marco Jaric in the face. Same exact thing he did to Ginobili in late January. Maybe 2 or 3 games this time will be enough.

I saw almost the entire game:

my 2 cents:
- K Brown is a waste of time and was a waste of money in the first place.
- others need to man up
- why every single play kobe has the touch the ball? it got to a point that they ran out of times several times.
- k Brown got blocked by a Jaric? what a wussy! injured or not that was so pitiful
