Mamba and Hibachi are in a 1-on-1 duel right now!

EDIT:

LAKERS WIN 118-102

Bryant finishes with 39, 6, 6

Arenas has 37 points, shoots 9-29 from the floor, 3-15 from downtown, 5 rebounds, 4 assists

LO had 19, 10, 5 and shot 4-5 from downtown, including 3 in the 4th! Drew had 12 and 12 and Smush had another 20 point game

Kobe 39 pts (14/26 fg), Caron 15 pts (5/18 fg), Gilbert 37 pts (9/29 fg).

Not bad. Gilberts like 3 of 15 from 3 which is kinda scary actually. Really happy we are about to get the win.

radman also had 12, and didnt hit his 1st 3 til like the end of the game

I'm falling in love with Radman to be honest. My heart melts everytime he hits those rainbow 3s (which swish everytime he seems to make it).

Lamar was also solid with 19 pts and 11 rbs, as well as Bynum with 12 pts and 13 rbs.

Surprise of the night: Kobe Bryant doing a 360.

Two big dunks in 3 games. That's crazy. A windmill reverse and a 360. He's what, 28 now?

if the Lakers somehow find a way to beat Atlanta (bad team...), they reach the 30-win mark!

When they reached 30 wins last season, they were 30-29.

and i was really surprised kobe did that 360 despite his age. forever young, kobe.

Yeah, I loved that 360, shows that hes close to being at full strength (his knee, ankle). And I hope when Luke comes back, we put him on the bench. Two facilitators in the starting unit (Kobe and Lamar) then two facilitators on the bench (Farmar and Luke). And it seems Radman does great when starting, I love it when he goes to the rim, and his rebounding is a surprise.

i think he got enough inside him to do that 360 because he was pissed he missed the super easy dunk before that

Do you think we should keep Radman as a starter even when Puke comes back?

Sun Feb 04, 2007 9:28 pm

i think we should. his production has increased and im sure his confidence level has as well.

Mon Feb 05, 2007 8:22 am

Yeah, he does great when playing alot. Even when his shot is off, he goes to the paint (not like Cook).

Mon Feb 05, 2007 9:38 am

I think Radman is good coming off the bench. In reality it doesnt matter much if you start as long as you log good minutes as a result of your performance. Just ask Ben Gordon.

ok win today over atl today... well a win is a win...

I'm still hoping the laker's can pickup a free agent player than can shut down
opposing 2 and 3s. Or at least an upgrade on smush. But, PJ is the type to tinker with a team, midway in a season. They should have steamrolled atl... haha

Mo Evan was originally bought in for this purpose, but then he surprisingly found his offensive game, and never put as much effort and focuz in playing suffocating defense ever since.

Mo Evans was never a good defensive player......that's the tag he came to Detroit with. He'd just get abused night in night out....only Arroyo was worse on the team.

Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:18 am

Not a bad night for the guys. Its about time to string together 6 games in a row or so.

Lamar with 18 rbs isnt bad but 4/17 shooting cant become the usual. Bynum didnt have a bad night either, really nice how he's getting a good runout and turning in good performances with another double double.

Wed Feb 07, 2007 3:43 am

Mo was good in Sacto... i think the defensive tag is mostly becuase of his athleticism. i would imagine he's pretty good at altering shots with those hops.

Not a bad read, just felt like sharing.

Mo Evans isn't a bad defender but decent enough. He can play better defense than anyone on the team other than Kobe, Lamar, and Kwame. He shut down Vince Carter in the 4th quarter two months ago.

i guess the current lakers team just has to mature a little more... and maybe win it all again...

LA/Cleveland time kiddos. Lakers offf to a very good start playing the kind of basketball I like to see.

Mon Feb 12, 2007 8:42 am

Kobe F'ing Bryant raping bastards in Cleveland. They simply cant handle the guy in the 4th quarter, its crazy. I feel sorry for that Pav dude guarding him, time after time, thrust after thrust .

Man I hope they keep it up, Lebron's been cold and its the perfect time to sink in their teeth and finish them off. Come on LA, dont throw this one away.
