Congrats on your 1000th post Pursuer...

On Topic: I saw the first half of yesterday's game and I was pretty impressed by Kobe's play. It was good. We got the win and I hope we do the same when we visit the Clips' 'home' court!

well the atmosphere in the next Battle of LA will surely be a hostile atmosphere with Vlad Rad back on the Clips floor. nevertheless i hope we get the win..

Kobe didnt look too bad for real. In the first quarter though he put up a couple shots he shouldnt have but he quickly made up for it with a few solid plays. Nice game for him as well as a somewhat agressive performance from Lamar. The win was wonderful. (y)

I always find it amusing when all of a sudden fan boys come out of the woodwork, the interesting thing is is that it usually only happens when the team is winning. Odd, quite odd.

Off the top of my head the only Jazz fan I remember is Robby, now since their on a streak, you've got people call them their Jazz and all that other stuff. Hilarious.

By the way, it isn't always a good thing being so fucking full of yourself about your team, you're talking to Laker fans, we know what we're talking about.

Sure you have.

I wasn't attacking you, I was giving you some sound advice. So just chill out, dude.

Yeh and our bandwagon is bigger.

A more stinging response would've been..."we've won championships"...but who's making rude remarks? Not us. Tee hee.

Actually since his location is Utah, it would only be fitting that he's a Jazz fan. He's probably mormon too.

Sucks to lose to the Jazz tonight considering we had our fair share of the lead for decent portions of the game. Ah well, hopefully they bounce back asap and wipe this loss out my memory.

Odom and Kobe had 26 and 27 points respectively. Thats a good sign in my opinion since I've always liked Lamar being agressive alongside Kobe. Hope he keeps it up.

I wouldn't worry about him, he thinks Kobe is in the running for Rookie Of The Year....

Well, in some cases that doesn't apply. I don't know if a lot of folks will remember, but Heido had his location set to Cleveland whereas he actually lived in Estonia. Cleveland, Estonia, big difference.

Besides, I don't doubt he's a fan, I just find it funny the fans come out when they are winning. That's all.

I felt the same way being a Lakers fan when they sucked in the 90s. with Cedric Ceballos, Sedale Threat, Peeler, Lynch, Eddie Jones!, Elden Campbell, Van Exel... hell, I was still a Laker fan with Shaq & Kobe in 98... but when they started winning and everybody jocked the Lakers, I stopped liking them.

Well you can hop back on, since the Lakers have stopped winning, a lot of "fans" have gone to supporting other teams.

Besides, the Lakers have a nice group of young one's right now, no reason in not liking them now.

A win tonight for the Lakers.
again there are some nocalls on Kobe, still, regardless of the refs he was having a tough shooting night, glad he played some good D on Vince and had 10 assists setting up the team.
Kwame and Farmer were impressive tonight. At some point when the rest of the team couldnt score a point for god's sake, it was all about Kwame on both ends of the floor. His offense sure as hell is expanding, and is getting closer and closer to the 15/10 mark PJ has been asking from him. Farmer shot some big threes and showed that he might be the one the lakers have been longing for, a PG that can defend the pick and rolls. If this continue there's really no need for a sasha on the team. Parker was also good on offense tonight, but he wasn't able to stop Williams, who was impressive to score 14 points in 11 first-half minutes. Luke Walton is really hot this season beyond the 3-pt line, after changing his shooting stroke in the summer.

GReat win by the Bucks... the Lakers had a chance to tie it at the end... I'm watching the post-game interview with Phil and the last play was designed to come into Kobe and right back to Lamar for 3. What happened was the Bucks played Box & 1 on Kobe with The Kobe Stopper on him and PAtterson forced him into a 30+ ft 3 pointer that barely grazed rim. The guys in the studio after the game were ripping on a team for shooting 37 3 pointers and I thought they were talking about the Bucks... but I looked back at the box score and it was the Lakers... shooting <30% from 3. Kobe had 14 3 point attempts and only 27 points.

The Lakers had plenty of chances to win, but their poor shot selection lost it for them.

Ah well, they lost. Time to shove that under the bed and move on to the Jazz. Hopefully they can get something out of this, I actually think they will. Let's wait and see.

Kobe is pretty much ripping it up, 52 at three. If the Lakers lose their 22 point lead I will probably shoot someone.

Kobe posted up.. Well.. In short one of the -better- perfomances I've seen by anyone at least last five years. Scoring 52 points with .730 percentage against strong-defence Utah is amazing, and does that merely in thirty minutes.

I am absolutely stunned. Not a fan of the player by a longshot, but this is amazing. Seems like LeBron has something to learn from current leagues best players still.

Whoa..

he was ON FIRE

19/19 in the 3rd quarter, 30 points
9/9 from the field, 10/10 from the line

lit up the scoreboard..to quote from Kobe himself "felt like i was in a videogame"

and the best thing?

Lakers win 132-102

Nice (excellent for that matter) outing from Kobe, still dont feel he is at his best yet though. At times he wasnt very explosive off the floor at all but he got the job done with an array of fadeaways and other sorts of jumpshots. The two dunks were nice but the second was somewhat funny considering he had to squeeze it in. Cant wait for him to get back to full strength, I get the feeling he is taking the time to perfect other portions of his game which werent a focal point when he was at 100% physically.

Great win, hope the Lakers keep building on solid performances like these.
