Blazers another win and Rose might have a serious knee injury again.

Don't know if Hawes is working hard in a contract year or he's finally unshackled with Doug Collins gone.

Spurs/Grizzlies was a really good one, the final score doesn't really do it justice. Unfortunately Gasol left with a knee injury, but Ginobili was putting on a show with his passing:

Hopefully nothing like the one he's coming back from, but that was disheartening to say the least.

It seems it's his right knee this time for Rose. It's not his surgery knee at least. Fingers crossed he'll be back in a week or so tops.

For some weird reasons I chose to watch IND @ BOS tonight. Was a good one though. Game was close throughout till 4th and Sullinger was pure joy to watch. Reminds me of athletic version of Big Baby.

Seems like Evan Turner's also having one heck of a season too. It's a contract year for him too so... lol. I was actually expecting Thaddeus Young to have the biggest breakout season out of all but I guess I was wrong, for now. But I am wondering if any of them will get traded. Their values are peaking atm.

Caron Butler turning back the clock with 38 points against the Sixers.

Wondering the same thing. Even the contract year magic never lasted for more than 12 games for him before. While the season's still young and I still don't believe he can sustain what he's doing, on the slim chance he can... he's a top10 NBA center whenever he isn't getting abused too badly on defense (and so far, he hasn't been). He's still only 25 and his shooting touch and passing skills would be a good compliment to the defensive minded Noel. Maybe Sixers should think about keeping him after all.

But I'm still expecting to start seeing his usual 10 points, 4-14 FG statlines again soon enough, making the entire point moot.

After starting out the season hot, Turner was averaging something like 19 ppg on 47% TS the past 9 games before yesterday's Milwaukee one. I'd really like to see someone take him off our hands while his season stats are still looking pretty good.

Thad isn't a guy who will put up All-Star numbers. Other than being uncharacteristically inefficient as a scorer thus far, he has picked up right where he left off - doing the dirty work, hustling, playing defense and getting a bucket every now and then. And as far as percentages go, we're still in small sample size theater, Turner and Hawes being the finest examples one could ask for. I'm not worried about Young at all and hope he doesn't get traded, because the return most likely wouldn't be better than him in the slightest.

DeMarcus Cousins didn't let Isaiah Thomas shake hands with Chris Paul after their loss to the Clippers. Competitive? Bitter? Or attitude problem?

I watched a couple Kings game this year and I noticed DeMarcus is extremely emotional and competitive. I think it's a double edged sword. It keeps him extremely aggressive(especially on offensive end) but that also leaves him prone to committing unintentional fouls while not getting his share of calls. Referees don't respect him too much and that seems to get under his skin and irritates him quite a bit. Every big play he makes you'll see him getting all excited and pumped up while frowning to death when it doesn't go his way. Such his game is very entertaining because he's got this serious face on all the time and seems to always try to overpower his opponent which seems to be the only way he knows how to approach this game. He's one of those players who sucks at making friends but seems to hate his whoever he plays against and is not afraid to let them know it.

A combination of all three, probably.

Even though I appreciate genuine sportsmanship where players can compete hard, leave it all on the floor and then shake hands and say "good game" when it's all over, I do get the whole "this is a war" mentality in sports, especially at the professional level. If Cousins wants to subscribe to the latter school of thought, then that's his choice. We can debate the concept of sportsmanship and whether or not that's a justified stance to take, but he has the right to take that stance and he's not the only player to do so. When it comes to forcing a teammate to adopt that same approach though, I think you are definitely crossing some line.

When Isiah Thomas led the walk-off against the Bulls in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, Joe Dumars stayed and shook hands, because those were in his principles. Again, you can certainly debate whether the walk-off was a poor display or an overblown incident, but bottom line the guy who didn't agree with it wasn't denied from doing his own thing, nor was he ostracised or vilified for it.

Perhaps Cousins sees it as show of solidarity and if he fancies himself the leader of the team, he probably wants everyone else to fall in line with his way of thinking. Still, when you've got a bunch of different personalities on a team, there has to be leeway for everyone to adhere to their own views and principles. If Cousins doesn't want to shake hands after the game, in general or with a specific opponent, that's his call. If Thomas does, then that's his call. I think good leadership accepts those differences, as long as everyone's on the same page as far as commitment to the team and competitiveness while the game is going on.

I'm lost for word for the Knicks and Nets. They're pretty much battling each other how low can they fall. The Nets lost in a blowout last night to the mediocre Wolves and tonight the Knicks fell to the lowly Wizard. Quite the contrary to city of LA, their two teams are doing nice(despite low expectation for LAL).

I'm butthurt cause Gasol was my fantasy 1st round pick. Rose...I have a feeling he'll come back, remember, the season is a little fresh, but of course, I want to see him 110% healthy. Iggy was meshing so well the Warriors...

And how about them Pistons.

Add Hawes, McGee, Olynyk, and Jimmy Butler into the mix, we have an early season crisis. Unfortunate...

People know I talk shit about Rose all the time but it's a real bummer to see his career going in the direction of Arenas, Roy, etc. Injuries to Gasol and Iggy suck too, but I'm not complaining about Portland looking like a playoff team.

I think Iggy's going to be alright in the long run- it was only diagnosed as a strained hamstring, which sucks and hurts like hell, but it's not a tear or anything.

Rose is who I'm worried about. Now he's got two bad knees, will likely sit most of the season, thus my gamble with the #8 pick in my other fantasy league is a total waste. :( On the plus side, Westbrook looks amazing so far and I got him in the fourth round.
