What's David Stern's salary?

David Stern, the commissioner of the only pro sports league with a salary cap for players has a yearly salary that exceeds the combined annual salaries of the three other major pro sports commissioners.

That is from eighteen years ago. I was going to post that but it seems his contract is up to over 10 million now.

What, is the guy's salary a secret? The article shadowgrin linked to is the third result from Google of "david stern salary". An article from 1990!? The other results have nothing, except some blog talking about a rumour that has Stern's salary to over the max player salary.

Would Josh Childress be a starting player if he was on another team?

Josh Childress should start on the Hawks. He's one of the most underrated players in the league and a great one that nobody realizes.

Well, he does have Joe Johnson to contend with... and Josh Smith

It depends... for example if he is sent to Toronto, he would start.
for example if he is sent to New Jersey, he wouldnt start.

It's normal that Childress won't start in Atlanta, he has two key players on him, Joe Johnson and Josh Smith.

Yes, they had a string of titles in the 1970s. Weren't really a great team or had any notable players, you know how the league was back then.

The Sonics wear the white jerseys on Sundays for the most part, they wore them when they beat Denver in double OT. I've never heard the alternate on Sundays rule but the only evidence I have to prove otherwise is Seattle.

I would have to make a quick guess that it is because the throw back jerseys were meant to boost jersey sales. And the league knows that Canadians are not to fond of jerseys, and that Toronto might not be a good market for it.

Charlotte is not using old jerseys either
Maybe its because there were bad seasons, very bad seasons when they wore
black/purple jerseys and they dont want to bring those memories back.

I think the bottom line is that it's a good way of honouring a team's history while generating extra revenue, so it's become a league-wide practice.

- I'd say Luther Head is one... if only Rick Adelman plays him more he would be dropping 18, 20 a night... he's capable
