How about we stick with the original bet?
You change your username to Kobe's Bitch and keep it for a year if the lakers make the playoffs next season.
I'll change my username to whatever you want it to be if the lakers dont make the playoffs.

2006 1st Round Draft Pick #26-
Jordan Farmar
Position: PG School/Team: UCLA
Height: 6-2 Weight: 180 lbs.
NBA Comparison: Raul Lopez
Strengths: True point guard with excellent vision and passing ability ... Has a great feel for the game, with the ability to elevate the level of play of his teammates ... Amazing creativity and anticipation ... Sees plays before they develop, finds teammates the instant they become open, the mark of a great passer ... Ball handling ability is superb ... Very good shooter with range ... Uses change of speeds well ... Good quickness, gets into the lane and by defenders well ... Has a bag of tricks offensively with a nasty crossover and good ability to pull up for shots when open ... Plays solid team defense, reads passing lanes for steals ...
Weaknesses: Athleticism and strength could be an issue for him in the NBA ... Lacks great body strength, not a physical specimen type but has some leaping ability and quickness ... A big or real physical guard can push him around ... Turnover prone, can get caught up trying to be too fancy ... Makes a lot of spectacular passes, but in trying to do so makes a lot of turnovers ... Small hands seem to make him more prone to turnovers ... Lacks explosiveness and finishing ability around the basket ... Not especially long or tall, cant see over defenses and must make ball fakes to get passes over or around bigger defenders ..
Farmar, probably the second best PG in the draft, is a local kid and will act as a solid facilitator to Kobe Bryant in the triangle offense.

Farmar Rocks!!!!!!!
Great pick!
Edit** Hes been my avatar for about a week now

Well, I really wanted to see James White just because he'll win the dunk contest next year, but a solid PG isn't a bad choice either.

2006 2nd Round Draft Pick #51
Cheick Samb
Position: Center
Height/Weight: 7-1/215
Birthdate: October 22, 1984
Team: WTC Cornella (Spain)
Country: Senegal
ANALYSIS: Few players who will be picked in the 2006 NBA Draft have less experience than Samb, but that doesn't mean he isn't an exciting prospect. On the contrary, Samb has exhibited shotblocking abilities that would put him among the best rejecters in Europe, if only he had enough experience to play at a higher level. Samb played his first professional season this year in LEB2, which is the third-highest professional league in Spain. He signed a contract with Unelco Tenerife, a club in the ACB, Spain's highest level, but he has competed at lower levels in order to gain experience. In his first season, Samb blocked more shots himself than all but one of the teams in LEB2. He also averaged 9.6 points and 7.7 rebounds, pretty good numbers considering his utter lack of experience. With a normal progression, Samb might be ready to play at Spain's highest level, the ACB, in two more years. In the past, clever NBA teams have selected prospects like Samb and let them develop in Europe for a few years before signing them to play in the NBA. Denver drafted Francisco Elson in 1999, then let him develop for four years in Spain until they felt he was ready for the NBA. Elson has had three productive seasons as a frontcourt reserve for the Nuggets.

Decent picks this year thank God. Although I would've picked Diaz over Samb.

Yeah, Farmar could be something special. A Jew with 42'' vertical? Too bad Hitler doesn't live today and earns his money as a basketball analyst (although he could be black and go by the name of Steven A. Smith. That motherfucker.)

That's a great trade. Evans is very underrated and a quality backup for Kobe, while Pistons get a 'true' PG.
Thu Jun 29, 2006 3:22 pm
Farmar is jewish.
Wow. Mitch got Evans for that nobody. Good trade.
In other news, lakers acquired JR Pinnock from dallas for a future 2nd round pick. I dont know about him but i read that he may be a Marquis Daniels clone.

The Lakers selected UCLA guard Jordan Farmar with the No. 26 overall pick in Wednesday's NBA Draft. The 6-foot-2 Farmar averaged 13.5 ppg and led the Pac-10 in assists with 5.1 as a sophomore. The Lakers also acquired guard Maurice Evans from the Pistons for Cheick Samb, their second-round pick. Evans averaged 5 ppg and 2 rpg for Detroit. LA traded a future second-round pick to Dallas for George Washington guard J.R. Pinnock. Pinnock averaged 14.5 ppg and was named Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year.

ESPN are reporting Radmanovic to the Lakers for the MLE
Sun Jul 02, 2006 10:27 am
Lakers should go for Ben Wallace
I hope that he doesn`t sign with Bulls..
Sun Jul 02, 2006 12:45 pm
looks like radman will be a laker, not a buck.
"The Los Angeles Lakers moved quickly Saturday on the first day of free agency, addressing their need for outside shooting by snatching away a piece from their cross-town rival by agreeing to terms with three-point specialist Vladimir Radmanovic," write Mike Bresnahan and Jason Reid of THE LOS ANGELES TIMES.

Radmanovic huh? Oh well.
I hope this is just a sample of things to do. He isnt a great rebounder or shot blocker and these were things I felt LA needed to address.
Ben Wallace woulda probably provided that but i WONDER WHAT HIS ASKING PRICE IS.
Sun Jul 02, 2006 1:13 pm
With Vladimir Radmanovic Agreeing with terms.....i dont think lakers will re-sign George.....Ben Wallace as a Laker would be nice...but i dont think thats the gameplan for L.A. They wanted a big man that can shoot...and they got Radmanovic....I hope this doesnt mean Lakers wont have a chance at Sam Cassel.....

At first i hated this. 31 million to Vlad Rad?
But after going through denial and moving on to acceptance, i actually like this pick up.
He's actually athletic for a euro and he'll definitely open the floor up for Kobe and Lamar.
Coming into the offseason, the lakers had 3 needs:
1. Defense at PG
2. George's replacement
3. 3pt shooting
They already addressed 2 needs. I dont know how the hell the lakers can get defense at pg because the only defensive PG available was Marcus Banks and he wants the full MLE too.
With that said, common sense tells me the lakers will pick up Bobby Jackson for the LLE or swing a sign and trade for Sam Cassell.
Cassell is very possible as the clippers just acquired Tim Thomas for the MLE and there is no way they will resign Sam for the amount he is asking.
Mihm+Mckie for ET would be an offer the clippers definitely have to look at.
Sun Jul 02, 2006 1:22 pm
I think Lakers need to keep Mihm....hes not that bad when healthy...he can run and has a nice hook shot...and can block and rebound...and we need all the blocks we can get....lol....Cassell is a good fit with the Troiangle offence...but i dought Lakers will pay him enough to come...i heard he would sign with lakers for 2 years. 10-12 mil....between there......even if Clippers offered him 1 year 7-8 mil....
Sun Jul 02, 2006 1:35 pm
Keep him? For what? The lakers are very high on Bynum and Mihm is an expiring contract.
The lakers cannot pay him next season as im sure some team will overpay for him. So what's the point of keeping him only to lose him next year?
You're worried about shotblocking? We have Andrew Bynum and Ronny Turiaf. You're worried about man to man defense on the post? Kwame Brown will not be pushed around by anyone.
The lakers were torched by PG's last season. Banks is the type of PG that denies penetration and we cant even sign and trade with minnesotta because the timberwolves dont have his bird rights.
Worst case scenario is probably Tyronn Lue or Bobby Jackson. best case, Sam cassell by S&T or or Marcus Banks takes a paycut.
If Banks takes the LLE(1.7M), i'll wet myself.
Sun Jul 02, 2006 2:08 pm
Whats the point of letting mihm go now and not next year....just because his contract is expiring....i think hes worth the 1 more year...Bynum didnt start when mihm got hurt..odom moved up to pf or cook came in pf and kwame was center...it shows Lakers didnt want bynum to start at center even if he is good enough to...i am positive Radmanovic will not start if Mihm is still here...
Sun Jul 02, 2006 8:58 pm
It's good for Radmanovic to be on the bench, he can provide offensive sparks that Laker's bench often lack. He can be the Robert Horry they once had... And Bynum is still so young, I guess he'll develop a couple of years before even starting... Isn't he like 19 this year? He's got nearly 20 years of NBA life to go..
Sun Jul 02, 2006 10:16 pm
Whats the point of letting mihm go now and not next year....just because his contract is expiring
Uh if we trade him now, we get something in return and if we wait next year we lose him for nothing. See the logic?
i think hes worth the 1 more year...Bynum didnt start when mihm got hurt
That's because Bynum was not ready to play. Im not saying he'll be ready to log big minutes this coming season but with 1 year under the supervision of Kap and 1 year of triangle experience, it'll be stupid not to give Bynum PT.
odom moved up to pf or cook came in pf and kwame was center...it shows Lakers didnt want bynum to start at center even if he is good enough to
Keyword: Youth and triangle experience.
Phil Jackson chose Brian Cook, a player with triangle experience for a raw 18 year old. Are you even surprised?
i am positive Radmanovic will not start if Mihm is still here...
Do you even know something about the lakers? did you even watch games last season? Do you even know something about the triangle?
Here's a play by play analysis for you:
- Last season, Pjax learned that Kwame is not a PF and he fits the C position perfectly in the triangle.
- Kwame and Mihm together is awful for the triangle. They dont complement each other and have similar skillsets on offense which lead to them trying to have the same role in the triangle. What happens next? the initiator gets confused and then we have another iso for Kobe.
You all saw the phoenix series, Lamar as pf complemented Kwame in the tri which lead to good execution of the offense.
Can you keep up wth me? Let me sum it up: Mihm will never start with Kwame again. You have to choose one of them. i dont see Phil starting Mihm over kwame considering how well kwame played since he was moved to center.
He can be the Robert Horry they once had
No, he can the be the Toni Kukoc Phil once had.
Sun Jul 02, 2006 10:39 pm
Actually, the new Kukoc is Lamar Odom. Radmanovic can't do anything Kukoc could.
