They can prove it after they don't blow the game in the 4th quarter.

So a teams/players performance can only be approved as solid when they win? LOL

Your posts always crack me up.

They did it every time they either have the lead or just a possession away to take the lead. EVERY.TIME.

Seeing the look on the faces of USA players while New Zealand was doing the Haka...

Bad idea New Zealand.

To their credit, the Kiwis only ended up losing by 27. Still, it looks more impressive when it's being done by rugby players.

The rugby players may have stand a chance against Team US inside game.
Btw. The second half of the final quarter of Ukraine vs. Turkey was fun to watch. Could have been even closer if the Turks would've made their free throws.

I follow Turkey since 2007. We have a chronical free throw problem since that date. All of the team shoots FT's like Asik. Preldzic, Arslan, Gonlum, Savas, alles FT sind kaputt.

JJ Barea showing the skills that earned him a NBA championship.
Philippines clutch game weak.

lol at the rumor of Blatche to Heat. If Blatche is not looking for a payday and signs for the minimum it could happen.

Weird seeing Cousins pass the ball for an assist, USA vs Dominican Republic.

A thrilling game against Finland.

Finland is a team that has sharpshooters at almost every position. Imagine a team that has sharpshooters at every position. Koponen, Salin, Murphy, Huff, Koivisto, Numminen, Rannikko and Möttölä. This is an overview.

Today Finland has made 15 3-pointers with %54 percentage. Finland scored 73 points and 45 of these are from 3-pointers. Turkey had applied a zone defense at first game. Finland blowed out. At second half Turkey made press with 1-on-1 defense and closed the gap.

Chronical FT problems and lucky shots allowed Finland to protect the lead. At end of regulation the team's point guard Petteri Koponen was fouled and had 2 FT's. Luckily, he missed both. Then Turkey had a chance to tie the game. It was 63-66 Finland lead. The last play was set on Cenk Akyol to score a 3-pointer and send the game to OT.

He scored the 3-pointer! A breathe for Turks. Then Finland picked a timeout. Their last play was set on Petteri Koponen to WIN the game. Koponen missed the shot and it's OVERTIME.

Turkey played better than Finland at OT and won the game 77-73. Another great comeback after a sloppy play by Turkey.

I wrote that Finland has a large spectrum of sharpshooters, but only that. A hard defense would immediately smash these guys.

Finally, Finnish ladies <3

Goran Dragic he mad.
Goran Dragic wrote:@Goran_Dragic: Basketball is a beautiful sport, there is no room for fixing the game like today Australia vs Angola!! @FIBA should do something about that!

Aussies :shake:

Australia finishing 3rd in the group means they can avoid Ukraine in the knockout round and face their usual bitches New Zealand instead and also avoid facing USA in the quarterfinals but later in the semis if Australia can make it that far.

What's Goran saying? That Australia intentionally lost the game by running their offense through Outback Shaq? That... kind of makes sense actually.

The most common reaction to this online from Australians has been disgust at their own team, because the point is to win as many games as possible, not to win medals.

People are stupid.

Meanwhile, Lithuania's win over Slovenia just now does indeed slide Australia into third, and avoids the US until the semis. I wonder how many of those people will still be complaining if we do medal...

I'm not sure which I prefer to think: that the Boomers phoned in the game, cheaply gaming the system for a potentially easier path in the elimination rounds, or that they lost to Angola fair and square.

I think Australia vs. Angola game was a clear tank job to avoid Team USA.
