Loved Kevin Harlan's reaction at the end of OT, getting excited by the three pointer then remembering it was a four point gap.

If I weren't so closed-minded and stupid, I'd find a way to channel all of my emotions and enthusiasm into something a little more important and constructive than a rigged league of wealthy men playing a game. It just doesn't fucking matter, and yet I spend hours a day, watching the NBA and reading up on it, even though its a complete and utter waste of time. When the Blazers lost to the Thunder, it wasn't just the epiphany that Portland will never make even the WCF with this core, but all of this is just a waste of time and mental energy.

Oh, and I'll admit it, Rose and Carmelo are better than Roy.

wow the season is only like 5 games deep. calm down. you forget that the Blazers are also without Przybilla, Oden, Oberto, Pendergraph, and lost Juwan Howard in the offseason. and LA is a sorry excuse for a big man.
but you are right about one thing. okc is a mediocre team.

Lamrock, unfortunately the Blazers can not win a title with Brandon Roy as their best player. I hate to say it as I love Roy, but that is just the way it is. Same for Nash & Suns.

Blazers are a disappointing example of a team that had such high hopes a few years back & they just haven't built on it IMHO. They are turning into the Atlanta Hawks of the West, including the stockpiling of swingmen  Frankly I just haven't liked their moves. Shame they didn't pick Durant, then Roy could've played single fiddle to him. I know you hate Durant Lamrock, but he's a bonafide star. Batum is good, but he's French & therefore will never be that great.

Even if you say, well Oden was the right pick, that's okay, but don't try to sign Hedo, don't bring in Andre Miller, don't have Nate McMillan as coach because you won't win shit with his style of play. Disappointing to see guys like Trout & Blake gone as they were nice role players, especially Blake, who will now win a title as the Lakers' best point guard.

Anyways, I loved the Blazers a few years back. Seeing them stockpile talent then shelve it (Rudy, Mills, Bayless etc) just makes me want to see them fail.

Is it any wonder that I don't watch any NBA basketball games anymore (except for some playoffs) & most of my bball fix is real life & NBA 2k? :?

This. Also, Cheryl Miller not realising they'd thrown to her when discussing Armon Johnson, and throwing to Kevin Harlan at the half, before realising she was meant to throw to commercial herself.

The X, I'm inclined to agree. They could however, win it all with Oden as the #1, which he would clearly be if he weren't lazy and made of glass. Not sure if Durant was the right pick, since they were a fantastic offensive team their last healthy year (08-09) but Noah would be great right now.

Its extremely depressing, but Portland does seem to be ATL West.

Turned my TV on and Hornets-Heat 4th quarter was just starting. Incredible 12 mins... Hornets 94-90, Bosh with a 3-point shot, Hornets up 1 with 7 secs left... :applaud:

EDIT: Foul to David West, makes free throws, Hornets 96-93. Okafor 26 pts, 13 rebs, 12/13 from the field; 5-0 to start the season

Well Andrew you got your OT, just in the form of your Bulls playing the Celts. I hate watching games like this when I'm the fan of a team, I normally stand and walk around the room out of nervousness.

Why in the world did Joakim Noah bring the ball up the court in a full sprint?? Why wasn't a timeout called? Why didn't Derrick Rose get the ball? (N) (N) Stupid loss for the Bulls, I feel your pain.

Bosh just topped himself today. 1 rebound in 34 minutes. This guy is a champion. Eddie House had more offensive boards & total rebounds than Bosh

Funny that Bosh described his new role as a 'rebounder, who can score'.

I'm scouring every Heat boxscore to look at Bosh's statlines.

5 games, 13.3ppg, 44.8% FG, 5.5rpg, 0.83bpg in 32.0mpg

Sean Marks has a better rebound rate than that

So much for being their star bigman.
Haslem, Ilgauskas, the greatness that is Joel Anthony, Stackhouse, and Wade have a better reb. percentage than Bosh.
It's not like Bosh is being relied upon on defense to see a decrease in rebounding opportunities.

I honestly thought Bosh would average a 16-10 or something like that. I think he'll get scoring up to 16ppg, but his totals will probably be more like 16-7. Heck, with that shooting % & stats, why not just keep Michael Beasley?

Holy crap the Bobcats ALMOST beat the Magic today. Gerald Wallace was ridiculous (4-4 3P%, and 14 rebounds  ) It went all the way down to a single-point game late in the fourth. really hoped the Bobcats would've made the comeback.

At least your lolcats have a win. Rockets are just too frustrating to watch this season. Futility combined with choking in the fourth quarter is a combination that'll leave you cursing at your TV. :shake:
