Celts keep signing people and they'll be in a whole lot of debt.

I've always liked Dahntay Jones, but players with his skillset are one of the types I love to watch. He wasn't bad in Memphis but he's not exactly good either. Poor man's Desmond Mason.

Interesting to see what Batista brings after his performance in international competition, considering he couldn't get a chance with the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks. Yes, the god damn Atlanta Hawks.

Then again so didn't Boris Diaw.

a pair of decent signings......but why don't the Celts go for a vet big man like Dale Davis? He can still play effectively for 10-15mpg. He'd improve their defence for sure!

with the celtics not being hugely talented through the big men, you will get to see batista's game flourish as a back up. if well proven he shall recieve more court time than veterans pollard and kandi. I liek the way the celtics are set up, gives the younger players mentoring. If ray allen was mentoring dude id be all ears!!!

love the signing of batista, celts need all the size they can get and he showed he can play, in fiba at least(which is only a few games but still). i dont have high hopes for either player but i will take the size when i can get it.

and matt, i think the reason the celtics are not going for those vets is cause they will probably want a guarenteed contract and the celts are not offering those right now

The way they played him was so terrible, I've never seen a player managed worse before in my entire life. The Hawks gave him 3-4 minutes to prove he deserved to play, and if he didn't wow them right away they yanked him. I saw a couple Hawks games where he'd come in, get a defensive stop, knock down a hookshot, and then get taken out and not put back in.

Yeah, he really took it to the American squad. He was practically scoring at will against them. He didn't even have to make any difficult shots, he was just getting himself WIDE open with solid moves in the post.

I can't recall seeing anything from him all season (then again, I only watched a couple Hawks games), but was it worse than Marcus Fizer playing small forward? :o

By 3 to 4 I mean 3 or 4 minutes, not minutes at those positions.

Actually that was a lie and it isn't because of Marcus Fizer either.

When we decided to make Jalen Rose our starting point guard, that was the worst ever.

so its been a couple of preseason games now and already the celtics have shown what is going to make them so hard to play this season. game 1 garnett was huge, a monster, game 2 his numbers were down alot but allen who played poorly in the first game shot the lights out vs the wolves. cant wait for the regular season to get underway and see how it works out when it counts.

(sorry for posting after my own post but no one else was posting here sooooo)

Hopefully Celtics can stay healthy....if they can, they can make a big run out East....I still think Bulls & Pistons will be top 2, with Celtics in 3rd....

i dont see the celtics with the best record in the east either, though i wont be surprised if they do end on top. i see them as one of those teams that you just dont want to get in the playoffs. i think by the time april hits the team will have gelled nicely and they will be dangerous

its only preseason(gotta get it out of the way before someone else throws it into the convo) but damn the celts are looking good. i still would like them to get another big man, even more now that batista is gone.

Yeah, and your Celts don't look nearly as good in preseason as my Pacers.

True, they could really use a big man like him with their lack of bench depth...

Lol Shadow, I thought you'd pick up on my blatant pointing out the obvious after the poster has already mentioned someone might refer to it.

I did it with Sauru and did it with you aswell (both sexually and non sexually)...you disappoint amigo.
