Again, the odds against it are so astronomically high nobody will ever waste the time to think about it because it's not going to ever happen in a NBA game.

It's like asking, what happens if someone jumps from out of bounds the entire length of the court and dunks it, would they count it? Who knows? It's not going to happen.

If anything, the league would simply declare the location of the players feet at the start determine the value of the shot. Therefore your question is a two pointer, mine is an inbounding violation.

just to answer that question they wont count it cuz he never stepped on the court cuz he jumped from out of bounds

Which is what I said, but if he took one step inbounds and did the same thing it'd still be irrelevant because it's not going to happen.

Blake got the assist tonight dishing it to Gasol. I'm guessing it's always like that, unless it's a brick jumper that doesn't touch the rim.
