Who was the heaviest player ever to play in the NBA? And in terms of heigth and weight? for example Tractor Traylor, not so tall but pretty wide

How can you be "heavier" by height?

It's probably Shaq or Oliver Miller. Stanley Roberts bloated up from the cocaine and was pretty fat in the first place. Priest Lauderdale maybe? Apparently Thomas Hamilton showed up at a training camp over 400 pounds.

When you think about it, LSU specializes in producing fatties. "Hot Plate" Williams, Stanley Roberts, Shaq, Big Baby. (And no-skill athletic bigs, Stromile Swift, Tyrus Thomas, Jabari Smith.)

Although he never played in the NBA, Mark Jackson's brother Troy played in college at 500+ pounds.

It's Escalade! hahaha I went on a training trip for track to the Disney Wide World of Sports complex in Florida during high school and we met Spyder from that show. Reggie Bush was there too actually.

Three questions:

1- What team had the worst record for a division winner, and what was there record?
2- What team had the worst record to make the playoffs?
3- What was the closest the last place in a division has ever been to the first place in a division?

I don't know if I worded them correctly but I hope you guys understand them.

It's "their" not "there."

Dismissing the lockout season for obvious reasons. I only glanced, so this probably needs some corrections:

Any female has worked as a GM/coach/ass-coach ever in the NBA? Think not, but was there a significant woman figure if so who was it?

Nancy Lieberman will become the first woman to be the head coach of a professional men's basketball team when the Texas Legends begin play in the D-League's 2010/2011 season. Stephanie Ready became the first female assistant coach in the D-League back in 2002. And Ann Meyers was the first woman signed to an NBA contract back in 1980 when she participated in tryouts for the Pacers but ultimately did not make the cut.

Thx.

Now I wonder if they made good sandwiches...

Didn't Lieberman also get a run in the NBA at some point?

No. There haven't been any female NBA players to date, at least none that have played in any games that count so far as I'm aware.

I'd heard she played in a men's pro league. Apparently it was the USBL, though.

Go to admire those women. They tried to dabble in a field dominated by men even though they knew that it will be futile because they can't do any better than men. Kudos to them.

That or they're just looking a way out of the kitchen because they don't know how to make a sandwhich.

Lieberman was GM and coach for the Shock for a while, but there was some thing about her having a lesbian affair with a player so she quit.

I think a lot of the WNBA talent could have played in the NBA, Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn have both said something like this, they probably wouldn't be stars and many would have to change roles simply due to their size, but the skill is there. I mean I find it hard to imagine Sheryl Swoopes is a worse basketball player than say Chris Childs.

I bet Pat Summitt could probably, in a world where it wasn't run by an old boys club that recycles the same failures over and over, get a NBA coaching job if she was stupid enough to leave her million dollar job at UTenn.

The saddest fact, is that in the modern day America many women don't know how to make a sandwich. And if they can manage that, well, that's all, cooking beyond that is a disaster waiting to happen. Then again, standard 1950s food from the wife wasn't all that good anyway.

Speaking of asides, man does this post have nothing to do with this thread.

Not really a "random NBA question", but I want to know what you guys think. Who would you put in your Top 5 of the league's best wing defenders?

Someone who never scored.

I'll change it up a little bit. Who has the lowest PPG average while playing the entire 82 game season.

1st Question: If by some random occurrence that a shot is clearly blocked but the ball bounced up on the blocker's fingertips and the ball went in the basket, is the shot blocker awarded a block?

2nd Question: If by some random occurrence(again) a team mascot stole the ball and then dunked the ball during a game, will the team get any points? What violation can the referee call? (Name of violation)
