Why the fuck did Kobe shoot long jumpers like an idiot so early in the shot clock and with plenty of time left?

You forget the foul that wasn't called a little after that.

Yeah...that turnaround off the inbound play with 24 seconds left on the shot clock was fucking bizarre, even by his standards.

Kevin Love's streak of double-doubles came to an end at 53. Not too shabby at all, I'd say he'd definitely have to be the favourite for MIP at this point.

Z came to the Heat to win a ring. We'll see if that is any motivation for the Heat to win it all this year.unlikely.

Interesting that it was his scoring (or lack of) that broke the streak. Is there a record for consecutive double-figure rebounding that he'd be anywhere close to?

Since 1986 he has the longest streak, the prior one was Rodman at 52: http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... elog/1993/

the worm probably could have had 5 more 10 rebound games if that Charlotte loss hadn't been a blowout.

Watched Heat - Spurs and Lakers - Magic games tonight. Heat was awesome cept that Bosh going Novizkit and shooting 15-20 footers everytime he touches the ball.

As for the Lakers, holy shit Twin towers just overpowering Howard was so bad. Howard still got his numbers but many in garbage minutes and with so many turnovers. When Bynum was on the floor, he definitely looked like a better center tonight. And Orlando had no answer for Gasol as Anderson was a primary defender on him. Orlando's lack of size will definitely will hurt in the playoffs. Also TurkeyLu's a terrible at boxing out and doesn't even know how to D even with his height advantage. He's just a big liability at D since many teams will expose the problem especially Heat's Bron, Celtics' Pierce and so on.

I'm not sure if this warranted it's own thread but yeah...

http://www.journaltimes.com/sports/buck ... 002e0.html

Clippers didn't want to help pay for an assistant coach's (at that time) surgery apparently. Elton Brand, Corey Maggette, Marko Jaric, and Chris Kaman stepped up in this case, good for them (Y) .

Good on those players for chipping in. I guess policy is policy as far as the team is concerned, but given the circumstances that was a very cold and classless stance to take in my opinion.

Stop hating on the team's policy! That's unbiased equality at work! God bless Sterling!...
"I contacted the Clippers about medical coverage and they said the surgery wouldn't be covered," Hughes said......they said if they did it for one person, they'd have to do for everybody else."

They paid the whole medical bill. It was like $70,000 or more. It wasn't cheap.
Not to be a jerk but $70,000 is like weekend vacation money to those who helped him.
Still, a nice act of charity and compassion by Brand, Bad Porn, Caveman, and the mystery that is Marko Jaric. He bagged Adriana Lima! Have you seen his face? Seriously?

Jordan Crawford playing well against the Bulls. We need LeBron James to disprove his existence again.

Not a good second quarter for the Bulls, thanks in large part to Crawford's hot hand, but a slightly more positive finish with Thomas hitting the three. Should've been free throws on that play but a lucky three isn't a bad consolation prize. "Ball don't lie", perhaps? ;)

Javale McGee finished with a triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 blocks!

Also, Gerald Wallace is Portland's starting center tonight according to NBA.com. :|

He sure wanted that triple double, too. I thought he was going to come close to the blocks record in that one, 12 certainly isn't too shabby. Fine game for him, but it's the Bulls with the win and a slim lead for the top seed in the East.

Its not the triple double that McGee could have had, but that would have been amazing though. But 12 blocks has to be a career high for McGee, but the bottom line is, the winning team was, your chiccago bulls, yes!

Why the Atlanta game had so little attendance? There were really really few people in the seats from what it seems. What would the crowd do if Atlanta is on a worse condition later on?

McGee got a triple double. 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 blocks! Also the twelve blocks is the most since Keon Clark blocked twelve in 2001. Ten years ago.
