NBA Live 96 graphics editing

Postby Dr B on Sat May 10, 2014 1:52 pm

Hey guys,
I've been playing Live 96 on dosbox a lot recently and started messing around with editing palettes/logos/courts whatever but it seems like all of the tools (including the oldest version of EAGE in the downloads section) end up with some issues. Mainly, the colors just get all crazy any time I edit something. I read about some issues with transparency and the different bpp formats but haven't come up with any solutions. Has anybody tried to edit this game? Any suggestions on the best tools to do this or is it going to have to be pretty much all hex editing?
Thanks
Dr B

It's been a while since I've done anything serious with NBA Live 96, but from memory, that issue presented itself after a while with the EAGE releases. I believe only the really early releases worked well with NBA Live 95 and NBA Live 96's .fsh files, but unfortunately they've been lost over the years.
