Can you edit the players ratings in 98 for Playstation?

I believe so, I'm fairly certain it was possible on the PC version that year as well.

I hope so. I got it off amazon for a couple bucks and am hoping to do a 98 playoff roster. I have almost completed a 97 playoff roster for Live 97. The lack of not being able to update ratings makes it harder. I would also need a ps1 to ps3 memory card reader to put that online.

You can edit the ratings and jersey numbers, but you have to use a created player slot to do so. It creates a duplicate version of the player.

Ah, it does too. I'd forgotten about that.

The N64 version only had 10, it might be more for the PS version though.

Andrew, I think you're thinking of Live 99.

There was no Live 98 for N64, and Live 99 was an updated port of 98. And regarding it's create player there are twenty slots.

You're right, I was thinking about NBA Live 99 and its 20 slots (I could have sworn it was only 10. Old age, I guess).
