Horrible single player input lag - PC

Postby NickTheMaj on Sun Jan 17, 2016 3:37 pm

Just recently bought a second copy of this game since there have been some awesome cyberface releases here (seriously, all you modders are fantastic). One thing that's bugging me though is how unresponsive my PC copy is. I have the advantage of being able to directly compare it to the PS4 version and its night and day. On the PS4, it's super responsive. On PC, it's sometimes half a second or more off from when I press the button to when the player does what I want them to. It almost ruins the whole experience. I'm not sure if I'm missing a setting here or there that would cause this. I have the game maxed out at a constant 60fps at 2560x1440. I have a monster rig (GTX 980ti/5930k/Dominator Platinum ram/750 series ssd etc) so it's not a weak point in my system.

Just trying to figure out why my PS4 runs the game better than my PC even though fraps tells me I'm getting a constant 60fps. Its the input lag that doesn't exist on PS4.

Try turning off vsync in your nvidia control panel.

Keep an eye on your temps if you turn vsync off, though.

Also, instead of just leaving vsync off, try turning it off and then limiting your FPS to 58 with nVidia Inspector.

If vsync off doesn't fix it, you can download nvidia inspector and set max prerendered frames to 1 for 2k16.

You can actually just do that in the 2K16 settings.

Thanks guys. Using a combination of a few different nvidia inspector settings I was able to make it a bit better. Just gotta play around with it some more.
