Hey what's up guys it's Shady Mike! I'm a slider guru coming over from OS / Youtube (Some of you may know me as "JrueToTheGame" or "Mike32Ownz" etc...) but I'm very excited to be able to share my slider set with NLSC for the first time this year! Last year I was around these forums every now and again checking out some of the awesome MODS from Arnau and R4zor but now I'm hoping to contribute in my own way. For the record I'm playing on PC so I will be using that as the main area of testing (and I'm sure most of you will be too!)

I've been making sliders for years now and last year my thread blew up over at Operation sports grabbing over 170,000 viewsI I even gained over 100,000 subscribers and I can not only continue that success but also continue to provide this community with the BEST slider set on the web! This year I call this set the "Wildcard" edition because I want to try and replicate the unpredictability of the NBA and add a bit of randomness to the game. I did this by completely zeroing out the "consistency" sliders. Sometimes you will make tough shots that on default would always be missed and sometimes you will miss basic open shots...such is the way of NBA basketball :D If you have used one of my slider sets before you will know that I focus on trying to replicate the "open" feel of the NBA. I do this by providing a recommended (Not required) camera view and altered physical attributes like speed and lateral quickness. So without further ado lets get into the sliders!

*Known Issues*
-CPU Shot selection - I still think the CPU needs to take more 3's but the CPU seems to play better with all of the tendencies at 50, will be something that I continue to look into!
-Rebounding - I've helped a little bit, but I still hate the rebounding tbh...guys just don't attack the offensive glass like they should IMO. Still a weak spot in 2K

Thanks man really appreciate it, I try to put the best stuff out there each year. Honestly man I started tweaking from Superstar, but honestly I just wasn't feeling it to start off this year...was seeing way too much cheese, but like I said this is still a very early beta so I haven't settled on anything but for right now I felt like tweaking from All-Star gave me the best representation of the attributes...if it turns out that I and/or the community needs a tougher challenge and Superstar ends up being the best way

Thanks for trying these out bro appreciate the feedback! How were you finding it easy to score? Too easy from 3? Too easy inside? Etc...I know defense is definitely something that I need to tighten up but I haven't been able to score THAT easily because I take a LOT of jumpshots but I know this was something that a few people from my set last year struggled with. But hey that's why we do Beta's :lol: Question are you using an international version of the game?

Not bad so far, tho I am playing on superstar instead of allstar.

Everything else is the same, what do you have your Def assistance on?

One issue is that no matter how the sliders are tweaked, at least in played games, PF and C get fouled the most and take the most FT's. In the NBA, the top list for FTA is generally G, PG and SF.

In NBA 2K16, and in most previous versions, there is a major problem with inside scoring: there's too much of it. These aren't drives to the basket, but rather passes into the paint for scores by big men.

No amount of slider tweaking can fix it. If you tweak tendencies to lower inside passes, then the CPU controlled teams can't score to keep up with a player controlled team.

Yea but it seems to be even worse this year...I'm concerned tbh, that was my problem with Superstar...the CPU just RELENTLESSLY attacks the paint man...it's ridiculous...PGs just make pinpoint passes to bigs right under the rim and they either never miss or get fouled every time, but hey we fixed it last year and we'll get it this year!

Thanks for the welcome man..yea my sets been on SS for the past few years and like I was saying earlier if All-Star seems to be too easy Ill be more than happy to move it up, but for right now until I can really dive into the CPU tendencies (which is what I'm working on) the CPU just throws the ball inside WAY too much on SS. Let me know what you think about how they play!

EDIT:Oh and I have my defensive assist on 75

Fixing the inside scoring in 2K15 caused a different problem. With sliders adjusted so teams wouldn't pound the ball inside to bigs, the CPU became too easy to defeat.

Interesting 2 games here and I think these two games alone will probably cause me to tweak the defensive consistency at the very least...I mean if you are playing as a good team vs a lower ranked team (as I am in the first game here) I mean you can absolutely curbstomp them which is something I'm going to address in the next update. Thing is, if you are playing as the inferior team the CPU really steps up their game as you will see in the second game I played.

First game here I played as the Hawks vs the Hornets was a massacre, my guys were getting open all day and I was able to kill them from the outside, and when the 3 ball wasn't there I used quick cuts and backdoor passes just like the real Atlanta Hawks do...honestly in terms of shot selection the CPU actually wasn't that bad they didn't push the ball in the paint TOO much, only problem is when they did finally take outside / mid-range shots they couldn't connect...that said the CPU STILL refuses to capitalize on easy looks from 3 as we saw here...

That is one of the main issues I am working on fixing for my next update...but as for the rest of the game here are the stats as you can see the Hornets stats the CPU actually played a pretty good game and it was actually really cool to see Kemba Walker take that many shots as a LOT of them were long 2's that we know he can make...like I said, save for a few occasions the CPU shot selection wasn't THAT bad.

On to my next game I played as the Raptors vs the Cavs and man LeBron James was amazing (Forgot to snapshot the Cavs shots but Lebron had 19-8-7 in their blowout as he didn't play the whole game). It was amazing to see just how drastic the difference in attributes effected the game in terms of the way the CPU played, I got blown straight out and no one could do anything except Derozan....

Takeaways:
-Ironically one of the perks of this set is the low consistency but I feel like I may have overdone it a tad, will probably boost defensive consistency soon for the CPU
-CPU flat out needs to take more 3's...about 10 more per game. Funny thing is I actually had the 3pt tendency at 100 when I was tweaking on Superstar, may try that or 85 again. need to see at least 20+ unless playing Mem or CHI etc...
-Rebounding is still very Meh lol

I think the only way to fix rebounding would be a roster edit to each player then apply that to your slider set.

I'd argue the offensive rebounding is worse than it was in 2K15 lol probably because they buffed the standing dunks, that said I have a few ideas that I think should help a ton.

This game seems to learn how not to play.

I was running CPU v CPU myleague games. MJ is on the current Bulls. In season 1, he averaged over 30 PPG. He had a nice post season, averaging nearly 40PPG. In season 2 he averaged 28.8 PPG. A 30 point game was rare. In the post season he averaged 28.2 PPG. In season 3, through 10 games, he was averaging only 24 PPG. The offense turned into EBJ, everyone but Jordan.

So I tried these sliders in a new MyLeague. It's again MJ on the current Bulls. Game 1 he had 42 points. Game 2 he had 22 points on 8 for 17 shooting and 6 FT's. Since then, in five more games, he never scored more than 27 points. In one game he had 21 at half time, but only 6 in the second half.

I don't yet know the problem. Why won't MJ, and in general team superstars, score?

I try your slider and i like it. I think on the ball defense at 0 is too low ... the defender is alway break on drive or cross over by the offence player ... the fatigue rate maybe also up because no player are tired ... it s just suggestion ;-)

For me, it was easy to score on fastbreaks (even if the statsheet only writes 16 points for me on fastbreaks, I think I have made more). Also easy on pick and roll/pop points, the player who set the pick is almost always free afterwards.

And yes, I guess I'm using a international version of the game (I'm french)

Been listening to you guys's feedback loud and clear and I definitely agree with a lot of the things you guys have said and its helped me alot with developing Beta two of my set. First and foremost I have moved on to the Superstar difficulty and have continued to tweak from there. Edit- Straight off the bat I'd say with the increased on ball defence we need to lower user shot blocking as I have noticed right away in a random game of sixers vs spurs and in the first quarter (12 min) I have 7 blocks.

Agree 100% I'm going to start tweaking from 25/25 too many blocks from guys who shouldn't be blocking shots...and bottom line is rebounding is horrible, shockingly so I've tried a bunch of different combinations don't really like any of them yet. As for 3 point shooting, it's looking as if its going to need a patch just like last year...CPU just refuses to pull up!

I've just being playing around with the tendencies for the cpu and I am getting them to shoot a few more 3's

Inside - 50
Close - 48
Mid range - 53
3's - 85
Post - 55
Attack basket - 42
Look for post - 55

Awesome I'll give them a go next time I sit down and play, (are you still seeing that weird maybe 4-6 foot jumper the CPU keeps taking? It's so gamebreaking for me...they like drive to the baseline and just do a weird looking straight up jumpshot lol...one of the biggest things I'm trying to fix this year!)

I think we can fix that by lowing the "close" shots and increasing the "inside" shots.

Maybe what is happening is the cpu is taking weird pull ups from a few feet out to get its close shot percentages up.

By using the sliders you have provided (beta 2) with a few of my own tweaks from my sliders I am seeing more post ups rather that drives and a lot more 3's and mid range too.
