Why wouldn't you just use Dirk?

I guess they're trying to push someone new, but yeah, Dirk would surely be a more popular choice.

I'm pretty sure you just can't put whatever Picture you like on there. Dirk would have to sign it and probably get paid and he is not the typ who does these deals.

I'm well aware that you need to actually come to an agreement with players to put them on the cover. Considering that he has appeared on the German cover of NBA Live before, I don't think it's a stretch to suggest that he might agree to appear on the 2K cover if approached, though granted, he may have declined in this instance.

Gasol brothera are on Spain cover... This is getting anoying. We were expecting 1 cover star, but we currently have 6

How is that annoying? Having different covers for different countries is kinda cool.

It sound cool when you say it like that. But imagine if you were one of cover guys. It was supposed to be individual honor or at least share it with 2 more people. But now whole Europe will have their own cover players.
On the other hand, maybe this is just promotion of Euroleague, I hope there will be Euroleague 2K16 mode
