Possible Future Performance Workaround

Wed Sep 30, 2015 6:27 pm

I have NVIDIA 635m 2GB, i5 3210 and i have 45-50 fps in Blacktop and 50-60 fps in practice gym (textures on medium, player details on high) But... i have terrible fps drop in Arenas. Even turning crowd off isn helping much as in current-gen NBA arenas are huge and demanding. But i just fell in love how game looks and feels in Blacktop and Practice gyms. So smooth and beautiful.

So i have a question to you, guys. Is it possible to make a total overhaul mod to make game's arenas less demanding? :?:
Smaller textures resolution for all little things in arenas could make a difference, smaller textures for a crowd and seats... i dont know what exactly, but i have a feeling that might work! Those little things are demanding but its barely visible if we make those textures smaller. And maybe someone will find out a way to edit mesh details so that would work pretty well too.
I mean we can run this game even better and the whole community members that have no possibilities to run it on good computers, will have a chance to run in perfectly and enjoy this beautifull game. The Key to a good perfomance in this game is Arenas.

What do you think, guys?

I remembered something in 2k14 on how they deleted the crowd files so the arena wouldn't have any crowd and it had a major impact on their performance. Pretty sure that won't be possible for 2k16.

They have it in game settings to turn crowd off, but that's not the case. Im talking about making arena's little textures of enviropment less demanding. Becouse turning crowd off is not making such perfomance boost as playing in Blacktop or in Practice gym. So? It's must be something to do with the big and demanding arenas. They have so much little things in current gen arenas which are eating GPU memory. I mean, if i can run in 45-55 FPS in Blacktop or in Practice gym and why my FPS (when nearing 3pt line, a well known issue) dropping to 18 when playing in NBA Arenas :?:
It's very interesting for me. I would like to do a research on this.
By the way, is Textures Exporter for NBA 2K15 working for 2K16? Maybe it's would be easier than i think it is.
