New idea

Wed Mar 23, 2016 11:03 pm

I would like it if 2K can remove all European teams altogether from NBA 2K and focus on creating the Europe Basketball 2K series, with only European teams. Includes all European teams from all of Europe, including some 2nd tier leagues for 2nd tier promotion to 1st tier and 1st tier relegation to 2nd tier. Also, include where you can try for Euroleague (1st tier Europe), Eurocup (2nd tier of Europe), or FIBA Europe Cup (3rd tier Europe).

Game modes:

MyLeague (Take control of all countries, however one team per country. Export your young European players to NBA 2K MyLeague or MyGM for the draft class)

In those games, there are 16 teams in Euroleague, 24 teams in Eurocup, but 56 in FIBA Europe Cup.

With all countries in MyLeague, and one controlled team per country, you can try to get your club in Continential competition for Europe.

Good idea?

A whole new game? With the exact same mechanics and the same engine as NBA 2K? Is one not enough?

I don't think sales would justify it.

I'd like to see national teams with Olympics/World championship implemented. It would be especially nice in MyCareer - to compete for a spot on national team, training with other players from the national team and going head to head with others.

FIFA has done World Cup editions, so I guess there's a precedent, and NBA 2K obviously does sell very well. We're talking about different sports though, so I'm with Dommy; I'm not sure the sales would justify the cost and time needed for development. I think it would be wiser to test the waters with extra content in NBA 2K first, or even make it a digital title/add-on like the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine.

Alright then, how about that for add-on then. Also, make it retail for stores and not just online.

If you make it a retail release, you're still running into the sales issue. If it's an add-on, it should be DLC only. That's what will keep the overheads low.
