Roster Feedback Thread

Postby Andrew on Wed Sep 30, 2015 10:17 pm

This thread is dedicated to (constructive) feedback about the official roster updates for NBA Live 16. Whether it's an error in the rosters, an accessory that needs to be updated, or a rating you feel needs to be changed, this is the place to post it.

Sorry to sound like a broken record but this has to be one of my biggest gripes with nba live and it's that they have full control of it and put out half assed updates and then you have to wait till next week to see if they fix it.

In live 15 I wanted to start a dynasty with the Sixers but 3 weeks after the trade deadline and there roster was still missing players.

And why they have to have some random actor playing the Bulls Niko? ?

The same guy plays for Denver too!

Yeah, I gotta say, that's a big deal. To claim "opening day rosters" and not have anything remotely close to that is just messed up

To be fair, opening day rosters is my description, not theirs.

Week 2 roster update: https://www.easports.com/nba-live/news/ ... pdate-wk-2

Looks like there are still players missing. I'll update the list when I get a chance.

Still a lot of missing players, and at a glance, one incorrect jersey number. I've updated my list above.

Absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable to have to many missing players.

Back in the day we not only could edit the rosters but also create players and place them on teams. Would solve a lot of that BS of EA simply shafting those who paid for this game expecting half decent support.

It's definitely puzzling, and more than a little disheartening. The updates are leaving something to be desired.

Just seen the roster update, pretty much nothing new other than the Grizz trade that I noticed.

I could honestly put out a better roster on the ps2 right now.

Custom roster editing would be quite useful right about now.

I can't express how disappointed I am really. These are things that any dedicated player could manage in a few hours, simple roster edits.

And all the missing players, wrong shoes, accessories etc. Hardcore fans know all this stuff and shouldn't have to point it out every year. For all the great attention to detail, rosters and players should not be at the other end of the scale.

You can't help but fear the worst for Live 17. (Not though we really should be hearing ANYTHING about 17 while there is still so much to fix to regain the confidence of all of us full paying customers for the last 3 years).

Even simple stuff like Okafor... just throw some damn hair on the guy at least, use some of the random player likeness' instead of looking like an absolute amateurish product. People notice these things. They tweet these things, continuously ask the same questions.

All I can think is there simply isn't the budget to get this game where it needs to be. Because the good stuff is damn good no question, but all the missing stuff means it is always going to be behind the standard and likely never get to there before these dismal sales mean the series is no longer greenlit from the EA bigwigs.

The game has being out 2 months now and we still don't have rookie facescans.

This is pretty much my reaction every time I plan as the knicks and see the impostor EA has for Kristaps Porzingis.

And I know he isn't exactly well known, but he did start a bunch of games last year and for EA to not even know his position or shooting hand is embarrassing.

Joe Ingles of the Jazz according to EA is a right handed power forward.

Not only that but that useless courtside announcer (yeah the one we've had for 20 years...) pronounces Noel as Nole. I mean these are basic things that casual nba fans notice, let alone 'hardcore' fans.

Just mind boggling really.

Is it the same announcer? He's sounded a bit different the past couple of years. Either way, a mispronunciation is a mispronunciation.

While I would like to see complete accuracy, it wouldn't be a huge deal if some of the players who are yet to see any action and weren't projected to be in the rotation were slow to be added. At the very least, their absence wouldn't be quite as noticeable. But missing players like McConnell in Philadelphia are not only playing, but starting.

This is what I don't understand. There are plenty of people who would be willing to make completely accurate updates for free and yet they can't pay anyone to do it right

Yep, EA needs to take a leaf out of 2k's book and let the community work in your favour.

Talked a big game in the summer didn't they lol

I think if it was even possible EA took a step back with the roster this year.

At least they had the whole 1st round rookies on point and most of the 2nd round too.

This new patch is probably going to be like 8 gigs. They just announced that a new Pro-Am court is on the way!!! I'm sure this patch is coming real soon with all the updated stuff

Hopefully, as TLK suggested, it'll be part of a larger content update. Adding new courts and challenges is something they'd always been planning.

I guess and I apologise for the sarcasm Live king I just think EA needs to use that voice it had in the summer and keep us in the picture with what's going on, and put out a decent roster update.
