I've just been noticing a lot of things that 2K have been really lazy about the past couple of years in the making of their games, especially in the quality of their Jerseys. I noticed that the Lakers purple stripe going down the side of their jersey doesn't extend all the way up the the top of the armhole. This is something 2K haven't fixed in their game for a long time and it's been annoying the hell out of me recently.
Another example would be the Miami Heat or the Milwaukee Bucks jerseys being too grey, or the Pacers front name being to small. I know the 15-16 jerseys are in demand right now but I thought since it's been bothering me, it is sure to be bothering someone else too. I've decided to try to fix as much things about the jerseys without changing the colour of the original texture.
Lakers
So there are alot of things about the Lakers jerseys that have been bugging me. First, like I mentioned above, the purple stripe going down the side of the jersey doesn't extend all the way up to the armhole of the jersey. I fixed this by messing around with the texture and seeing what goes where. I simply drew in a purple and white strip below the purple line that runs around the armhole (ON the top of the texture shown) and this is what it looks like in GIMP and in-game:
I also did the same with the Away jersey and the White Alternate jersey. I would do it for the christmas jersey but I don't actually know where it is ... I also created an alpha layer to all the Laker jerseys that was missing for some reason? (again I don't know why 2K even bother!)
Anyway... enjoy it and use these jerseys as a template to make your own Lakers jersey!
