sweetfx for win 10, 8.1 & 7 (4 versions)

Where's the sweetfx file to download? I can't find it in the OP

Hey lidz I'll see if that's possible. Gemfx doesn't include the black/white point sweetfx shader but might be able to find other ways to decease the black. Default nba2k15 is dark, sadly, and it's difficult to find the right balance--easy to make courts and players blinding bright. I'm in London for work but back next week. I can try this when I get home and have access to home computer.

well lidz i cant replicate v2 with gemfx--the shader effects are not matching up, sadly. i am however looking into some other ways---using reshade.

going to move some settings over to reshade for those using it...

turn off smaa in sweetfx_settings.txt if you don't want to lose fps. And bro, Sweetfx contains a lot of different graphic/shader options, some more taxing than others. Because you "lose fps", doesn't mean the sweetfx settings are not "optimized". It means that I selected various options to achieve a certain look, and these options have a certain cost. If your system can't handle it, I suggest turning off the smaa first, as this has the most significant cost.

do i need to configure it myself? coz when i tried its just default sweetfx!

it varies from court to court... i kept the setting pretty low so if you would like to increase the effect, open gemfx configurator (will be in your nba 2k15 folder), and click on the gemFX tab on top (should be selected by default), then click the lighting tab below it, then turn up the intensity of godrays, ambientlight, anamorphic flares, and lensfare to your liking. a little goes a long way on the godrays and ambientlight settings, and they interact with eachother a bit, so increase a little at a time.

I didn't forget about this... I messed around for an hour last weekend and had a hard time finding a better balance. GEMFX is a great tool but a bit finicky. When I have a bit of time, I want to make a stratus version based on reshade.

The efx/sweetfx combo in my download package (the win 8.1 option) works for me in Windows 10.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Win 8.1, so I already had the efx/sweetfx combo installed. If you upgraded to Windows 10 from Win 7, try this:

1) remove all sweetfx related files from the game directory
2) re-download the sweetfx package (http://forums.nba-live.com/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=7375)
3) select the which version of my sweetfx settings you want to use
4) select the Win 8.1. folder
5) extract all files to the NBA 2k15 directory.

Thanks man, glad it worked. I will add the instruction to the OP. I did confirm that my GEMFX settings don't work on Win 10, after the recent NBA 2k15 update. Odd.

I'm working on a reshade update, but have been traveling like a mad man for my job, and it's taking longer than I hoped.

I've heard that other sweet fx works for 2k16 but I only want to use yours. however, when i install it the game wont start. I get the efx screen overlay but the game doesn't boot. Any ideas/updates?

I plan to pick up 2k16 soon so will check it out. In the meantime, be sure to disable steam overlay. which operating system do you have?
