I honestly think that's the reason why we never really saw a lot of UHD textures for 2k14, Nobody wants to pay to be able to mod a game.

It's worth worth the money if it has the same support from last year's :D

Hola!

Thanks for your support, guys!

What i wanna say... well, i was able to successfully import a regular-type 8192x4096 (which is 4 times bigger than original) texture as a jersey, here is a pic:

Yup, unfrotunately, i currently suck in the area of proper reading original game textures, and this is the only thing, which delays the release of the tool, otherwise you would already be modding. :( I'll try to figure out how to mix those 16 little pictures into a good big one tomorrow. Hopefully, the algo will be broken.

Audio editor is probably coming along as well... shouldn't be that difficult.

Yes, you are right. I managed to extract and play some sounds and music a few weeks ago. Will work on import after textures are fully supported. Maybe you figured out how to read them properly? Would be a huge breakthrough, as i will be able to release the tool tomorrow, if i know how to mix the channels and export them.
Special Thanks and a free key is all i can offer in return though.

Are you going to charge a ridiculous amount for the editor again, Vlad?

Oh, fuck off. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Simple as that.

What you are seeing here is the result of hard work, Pepsi. Clearly, you haven't done anything spectacular in this community nor have you learned how to hex edit and God knows what they do. SO if you dont appreciate their hard work, then shut up. But if you keep posting here and saying that he charges alot of $ just for a tool and being a dick, mods might as well ban you,

A general reminder to be respectful to your fellow Forum members, and to please leave the moderating to us. Whether it's attacking Vlad because RED MC isn't free, or attacking people because they have a different point of view on the matter to you, it's not on.

We've explained the situation with RED MC being available at a price several times in the past. Our position is this: we understand where people are coming from as far as being disappointed that it's not free, because as a community, we have prided ourselves on providing free content over the years; indeed, charging for mods themselves actually does invite potential legal problems, because it would be profiting off someone else's intellectual property (the player's likeness, team trademarks, the game files, and so on). That's one of the main reasons why it's against the rules. We do make an exception for RED MC because of the time taken to develop it, and the fact that it's basically a third-party add-on, somewhat akin to a Gameshark or unofficial Smartphone accessory; it's something that Vlad has created himself from scratch, to be used in conjunction with another product.

Of course, if someone is willing and able to make a tool that does the same thing, and not charge for it, then they are certainly welcome to do that. Anyone who doesn't wish to pay for RED MC can use and support said other tool instead.

PepsiWithCoke's post was confrontational and not the best way to raise the issue, which I certainly realise is a touchy one. However, the responses he received weren't productive either, and just as likely to ignite a flame war that derails the proceedings. Let's not be a community that snipes back and forth, or is at each other's throats like that. Again, I understand this is a sore point for some people, but I ask that we remain respectful and civilised when broaching it, and not let it permeate every discussion about the development of tools. If there's something that needs clarification, or you really feel we need to discuss the issue further, a separate thread in the Help & Requests section, or perhaps the NLSC Hub, would be more appropriate. As for this thread, and the other tool development threads, let's avoid any further bickering. Thanks.

I appreciate the work he does in making the tool, it's the fact I have to buy a new license every single year. Surely people can understand that...

Re: [Tool] RED Modding Center (In Progress)

Fri Nov 07, 2014 7:20 am

Frankly, some folks here is really disrespectfull...first of all none of you was ever forced to buy any licence! And further you have to consider that Vl@d implemented the past a free version of his tool so that you could atleast edit the players-column!
I'm not a programmer at all but I think that everybody who can think rationally may recongnise that it takes a lot of effort to develop that tool!
And eversince a lot of people are complaining here around and yell that this is a free-sharing forum and that we should stick together a share all patches, tools, findings and so on then how about atleast donate a few bucks every once a while to appreciate the work that is behind those patches.
Those people who yell and scream around presumably didn't even pay for the game and do not even want to pay about 10 bucks/euros for a developed tool.
This is hypocritical and like Steven A. Smith would say: "This is blasphemous!".
Either you pay for Vl@ds tool -nobody is forced to do that-, you wait for patches which are made with his tool, or you just hope that somebody (Nesa24 or gregkwaste) develops and release a free version of the tool. But to be honest, I hope that those three are going to work together and release together a tool which you will have to pay for...that would be pretty fair.

Again, let's leave that discussion be in these release/preview threads. If it needs to be continued or further clarification is required, please make a new thread in the Help & Requests section, or the NLSC Hub. Arguing about it here and throwing about accusations of piracy is not productive, and is only going to derail a thread intended for a constructive purpose. Once more, let it be.
