Mon Oct 13, 2014 1:32 am
can you post the log.log and dxgi.log files? also, it will crash with precision, fraps, afterburner, rivatuner, etc.

ET da Gawd--a couple other things to try:
1) re-install directx (navigate to NBA2K15\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe
2) if you have nvidia gpu and latest drivers, uninstall geforce experience. Some people (including me) have found that latest geforce experience was causing issues with sweetfx
3) if all else fails, trying forcing via radeonpro (by pointing radeon pro to the win8.1 sweetfx files I linked to). Let me know if you get here and need help...

goldenstate77, what software are you using to take screenshots?
Mon Oct 13, 2014 1:58 am
I'm just using the sweetfx to take the screenshots (print screen key). The bmp files are saved in the game directory, then I use photoscape's batch editor to convert the bmps to jpgs, as the bmps are 10x larger

good to know.

Trying this now

looks good, thanks for sharing the V2...
looks just right, not too much nor is it overdone, because everyone always goes nuts with HDR when making these, it looks ridicilous...
but yours looks realistic and just right, makes the skin tones especially seem realistic and not cartoony
Mon Oct 13, 2014 3:05 am
thanks man glad it works for you. are you using the win 7 or win 8.1 version? looks like some folks are having issues with the win 8.1 version...

A lot of people have been having issues with Win 8 since release, the damn thing was basically a beta test for Microsoft the way Vista was.... I skipped Vista and I skipped Win 8 and turns out it was the best thing to do, running Win 7 64-bit and I plan on upgrading when Windows 10 comes out it looks to be the next Windows 7... stable and proper

How to install
V2 for Win8.1. I unpack the files copied NBA 2K directory. Crash game.
Re-install the game I had.

Can anyone with Win. 8.1 (besides me) confirm that they've gotten this to work?
jakey, from your dxgi.log, it's looks like sweetfx is crashing/conflicting as it's loading XINPUT1_3, part of the directx package in windows. did you try re-installing directx using the exe in the game directory? (nba2k15\_commonredist\directx\jun2010\dxsetup.exe.)
Also, do you auto install recommended updates from microsoft? (check by pointing mouse to lower right, settings, search "windows update settings", click "chose how updates are installed". you will either have a check or not by "recommended updates". if it's not selected, it's possible you missed the directx 11.2 update. just curious.
after trying the first suggestion, you could try to force the win 8.1 version of sweetfx using radeonpro. let me know if you don't know how to do this...

mariulis--
to uninstall just delete the sweetfx files you copied over (there are no overwrites).
you installed correctly, so let's troubleshoot.
1) make sure no background programs like precision, afterburner, fraps, riva tuner are running.
2) can you post the contents for dxgi.log and log.log here, and the specs of your computer
3) try re-installing directx (look at the post above for directions)
try those things and let me know if any of these ideas worked.

now that i think of it, the radeonpro idea won't work, because the version of sweetfx im using isn't compatible with win 8 (1.51). let me know if anyone is still having problems (after trying the proposed solutions in the posts above), and I'll port my settings over to version 1.4 so you can try forcing sweetfx through radeonpro.
Mon Oct 13, 2014 10:53 am
well I literally just made sure i am completely updated with all updates installed don my windows 8.1 gaming pc, so thats good, I re installed Direct X again thru the NBA 2k15 file adn the Sweet FX still does not work lol

if your hotkey isn't working, and/or you don't notice a fairly sizable difference than the default graphics, it's probably not working. I have 8.1 and use radeonpro to force sweetfx for most all of my games, but could not get it to work with NBA 2k15 after trying several different 64 bit compatible configs. So that led me to search for a sweetfx+efx combo that worked. if you want to give it another shot, would you pls post your log.log files and dxgi.log files? I want to see if it's the same prob jakey had. i don't have confirmation from anyone else with 8.1 that they've gotten my config to work, so i don't know how widespread the prob is. I mean, it works for me and I have 8.1, so hopefully we can find a way to get it to work for you guys. The only other thing I can think of is driver. Can you guys tell me which graphics driver you are using? if you are using nvidia's latest (344.11), i've heard it's been causing issues with sweetfx (you can google it...). I'm using 340.52. Maybe try doing a clean install of 340.52 without geforce experience (some say it's geforce experience causing the prob). anyway that's my setup (340.52 without geforce experience) so maybe give that a try.

jakey and intruda, can you guys give this a try (first delete all other sweetfx related files...)
