Graphics Fix: Everyone set their Windows Audio format to 44100 HZ

Hey everyone,
This is my first post but I read a bunch of stuff here due to Googling performance issues and this forum was on the first page for various keywords -- so I figured I would sling a post your way. I was getting awful, sluggish performance and it didn't make any sense. I tried every fix posted on the internet and nothing was making it feel "right". Supersampling, Thread affinity, Administrator, etc etc - nothing worked. Indeed, disabling the sound did work and I wondered why. Anyway, I guess the game doesn't like it unless your system is running at "CD Quality" audio because as soon as I changed it to that it runs smooth as buttah. So, if you're having trouble with responsiveness or bad graphics try this easy fix first before editing CFG files and thread affinity (etc).

I was hoping this will fix my sound stutters in the game, but it didn t. Also performance is not any better.
