2.1-2.5 GHZ Quad-Core Processor
2GB of Dedicated GPU Ram
8 GB DDR3 Ram
But I doubt it.
I'm getting ready to get a new CPU (either laptop or desktop) and any well-educated guesses on what may be expected would be fantastic.
xKrNMBoYx wrote:Comparing the Requirements of PS4/XB1 Ports for PC is a way to make guesses. For me the best game to compare to currently would be EA's Future Release FIFA 15. It will be the first time EA brings the Ignite engine to PC. As both are sports game they will both have lots of crowds, and several players (AI) moving around.
EA's Minimum Requirements
OS: Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Q6660 Core 2 Quad @2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB of RAM
Storage: 15GB of Storage Space (HDD/SSD)
GPU: Radeon HD 5770, Geforce GTX 650
EA's Recommended Requirements
OS: Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 64-Bit
CPU: Intel i5 2550K @3.4GHz
RAM: 8GB of RAM
Storage: 15GB of Storage Space (HDD/SSD)
GPU: Radeon HD 6870, Geforce GTX 460
FIFA 15 hasn't been released yet so the game has yet to be tested on hardware. In my opinion the whatever engine 2K is using looks a little more graphically advanced compared to Ignite, so the requirements given by 2K might be higher than EA's FIFA requirements. A lot of the newer games released has had insane System Requirements chosen by the Developers/Makers but in most cases they weren't as bad in reality. Except Watch Dogs that is... I hope 2K optimizes the game well unlike VC with GTA IV those long years back.
Like lots of people have been saying, don't hold us to our words.

Me personally I would rather not hypothesize about what will be compatible and what won't be when we should know in under a month.
That and the other thread has already devolved into a "my pc is better than yours" thread...
Safe to say that when the specs are know, with certainty, we will all have choices to make if we want to upgrade or spend the money on a console. I myself see my PC as the better investment and will likely go that route if needed.
That is all.

thanks for the link
but a word of warning
the first build has no GPU at the chart but in the text there is explained as optional
so dont focus so much on the charts read the text

And the prices are nearly a year old... some of the hardware listed can be had for cheaper making the pricing listed higher that can be had for. If you shop around.

should be "safe" so it will run but right now no one knows how well ^^

no way would be a 650 minimum and a 460 recommended i saw that before not your fault its wrong in their officcal release of the requierments

Im just hoping to play nba 2k15 next gen pc on lowest-medium settings with atleast 25-30 fps and online
i asked alot of people after the next gen news they think i can play it on lowest settings but what do you guys think
crazy_me_87 wrote:@xKrNMBoYx
does that x60 over x50 rule apply to cards more than one series apart(the 5xx series would be between right?) ??
so a 470 would be better than my 660? under any circumstances?
a 660 has 300MHZ more clockspeed, double the effective memory clock speed etc
is a wider memory bus really the uber feature that makes that "seemingly" slower 470 better?
im really curious here
if we are talking stock cards not overclocked does that rule really qualifies?
im just trying to be clear here so that we dont post confusing information for others!

I'm fond of Intel's Core 2 series because of the good performance for its time and then some. As others have said you will probably be able to run the game at minimum settings but I don't think you will get anywhere near 30FPS even at minimum settings. To begin the Dual-Core CPU you're running is old. I would understand an i3 having a chance of being able to run 2K15 decently but not a Core 2 Duo. Secondly, the GT 520 is really weak. When I am wanting to game the weakest GPU I would purchase from NVIDIA is there X50 line. A GTX 550, 650, etc. Your CPU may not be enough, it may. If it were clocked to ~4GHz it may still have a bit of life left in games. Being that 2K15 will be ported from the consoles that have and can utilize 8-Cores you will probably better off with an AMD Quad-Core than your current Dual-Core.
Your GPU won't literally explode like PepsiWithCoke is jokingly saying but it will be pushed to 100%. The GPU will become really hot and the fan will run at max speeds if that GPU even has a fan. If you don't want to do a complete rebuild with newer technology you would probably want to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad and a better video card. I would not go that way if you plan to upgrade your PC even more in the future.
@crazy_me_87
No the X60 over X50 does not apply for every circumstances. But it can for some instances. For example the GTX 660 (your GPU) is 1 generation older than the GTX 750 yet it is still stronger than the 750 and 750Ti in some cases. You already know that the previous gen X60 will be better than the next gen X50. I think the GTX 460 vs GTX 650 is just a special case scenario. In stock forms they will win some battle and lose some battle. For budget orientated people recommending the older but cheaper GPU may be the better decision. But then the newer GPU runs cooler and will be more compatible with newer games.
crazy_me_87 wrote:thanks for clearing that up!
i second that recommendation to get the one generation older of the higher line
but i will add for people who are not aware of it.. dont go too far back and as you said.. take something from the x50 series and up
for example dont buy an gtx 380 now because we said the x80 would make it better than a 470 or 550 or 660 thats not how it works
the gtx 3xx series doesnt support Directx11 and for a "next gen" Game you will need Directx11 support for certain!!
the same thing with Radeons
look out for Directx11 and to be safe 2gb of internal Ram
