No, not going to be this year, not until maybe FIFA 2020.
FIFA is going to be another Xbox 360/PS3 port. EA's excuse for this is that the average PC user doesn't have a high enough PC to handle the new Ignite Engine.

Because as you know EA recycled FIFA PS2 version from 04-10 for 6 years in a row before giving us a next-gen engine in FIFA 11 PC which was still not a direct port, was more of a hybrid. FIFA 12 is when we had a 100% direct PC port of the next-gen version.
And now we are in the same vicious cycle since the release of the PS4/Xbox One Consoles... And by the time we get a next-gen port, PS5/Xbox Two will come out lol & the same cycle will repeat once again.

With good optimization we could run it without problem and as I have seen fifa 14 on ps4 it have nothing special with graphics. So money is all about, and it is unfair.
Pdub wrote:Not necessarily. They would still have to make modifications to support different processors, different graphics cards, DirectX API, etc. Not to mention that the architecture for the PS4 and XB1 are different from the architecture of a PC. Once they have the tools or the PC developers are ready to do that from the next-gen version, they will. If they don't, then we won't get a game once they stop developing for the 360/PS3.

The only reason EA even bothers to port FIFA anymore at all is because PES releases on PC, All of they're other sports games have no real competition on PC so they see no reason to release they're games on PC.
