If they already don't plan to release it on pc tell us so we can buy ps4. I would more like to wait for pc version and buy it because there are better graphics and I allready have pc, but the only game I'm playing is basketball.

It's already confirmed on PC.
"2K also announced that customers can pre-order NBA 2K15 for the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment systems, the Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC by visiting http://2kgam.es/BuyNBA2K15.

Through this link pre-order for the PC version is not available yet (retailers coming soon), but in Amazon and Gamestop it's already exists. Even here PC version disadvantaged by 2K :|

If they release this on ps3 there is no chance that we can get next gen version for pc- this is my point of view. Another 2k13.5 god damn it.

The price in Europe for the PC-Version is 30€, while Next Gen will cost 70€. So this should be a clear sign that there will be no Next-Gen on PC...

It has to make sense business-wise for them port the next-gen version to PC so I don't see them porting next-gen any time soon.

His right. In fact it appears to be even more expensive. Here in the UK PC version £35.
http://www.game.co.uk/en/nba-2k15-299573
I'm not going to spend £35=58.88 US Dollar for a game without next-gen port. As I said before NBA 2K is normally cheap here usually at £15 for the PC version. Without a justifiable reason for the price jump, I'm not buying a recycled product with only a number changed to 2K15.

That's why it's in 2Ks interest to inform us if it will be next-gen or not. Fact is they can't hide this information, earlier or later we will find out. I just won't pre-order, innit.:cheeky:

2K has lost a customer if this is the case.
There needs to be more competitors, this is complete bullshit.
Not only do they fail to give PC users any respect, now they are price hiking and providing the same last gen bullshit.

Sadly we don't deserve any respect, most people talk the talk but walk the injectors. They're also responsible too, for not changing their broken system. EA and FIFA gained a lot of customers by improving their security, you can get a pirate version but it has a lot of bugs, there is no scene release, so a lot of people chose to buy their copies instead. This is the path 2K has to follow.

Because they can control it. 2K can't control pirate copies going online, so they don't even bother.

No, not going to be this year, not until maybe FIFA 2020.
FIFA is going to be another Xbox 360/PS3 port. EA's excuse for this is that the average PC user doesn't have a high enough PC to handle the new Ignite Engine.
http://www.pcgamer.com/uk/2013/06/18/fifas-ignite-engine-wont-come-to-pc-until-average-hardware-specs-are-higher/
Because as you know EA recycled FIFA PS2 version from 04-10 for 6 years in a row before giving us a next-gen engine in FIFA 11 PC which was still not a direct port, was more of a hybrid. FIFA 12 is when we had a 100% direct PC port of the next-gen version.

And now we are in the same vicious cycle since the release of the PS4/Xbox One Consoles... And by the time we get a next-gen port, PS5/Xbox Two will come out lol & the same cycle will repeat once again.

We don't live in the past. Today people have really good pc so and I. Ps4 is powerful as normal pc with something around gpu gtx 650. With good optimization we could run it without problem and as I have seen fifa 14 on ps4 it have nothing special with graphics. So money is all about, and it is unfair.

Not necessarily. They would still have to make modifications to support different processors, different graphics cards, DirectX API, etc. Not to mention that the architecture for the PS4 and XB1 are different from the architecture of a PC. Once they have the tools or the PC developers are ready to do that from the next-gen version, they will. If they don't, then we won't get a game once they stop developing for the 360/PS3.

I thought the architecture was the same as PCs, AMD.

Yeah I'm aware of that. We know EA Sports is lying about most people not being able to run it on their PC. They made the same lie in 2010 about the PS3 version. Yet how is it that 1 year later everyone had PCs capable of running the PS3 version. EA Sports are trapped in their own lie.

But the problem is that by the time most people have more powerful PCs than the next-gen consoles. EA Sports will come up with the piracy excuse. First they'll use the system specifications as an excuse for not porting next-gen, then it will be the piracy excuse...

The architecture is the same this time. Both next-gen consoles now share the same x86 CPU Architecture. Also with AMD in charge, porting shall be more optimized.
Whether EA wanna port Ignite or whether 2K wanna port next-gen to PC, it's up to them really. I'm sure porting this time round wouldn't be an issue. But if it is piracy that's the reason, or whether they wanna boost the next-gen console sales. Then we won't get it, even if porting is straight forward.

Yourright that the x86 architecture is similar when it comes to programming, but the system architecture is a bit different. The system is integrated on the consoles, while pc's use components. It should be easier for them to port this time around. With the content delivery and update systems in place, both companies should be able to find a way to use that as a security measure for pc's.

Personally, I think EA won't jump on the pc unless 2k stops releasing their game.

The only reason EA even bothers to port FIFA anymore at all is because PES releases on PC, All of they're other sports games have no real competition on PC so they see no reason to release they're games on PC.

Yeah exactly & I'm aware of that. I posted the same thing recently in EA's NHL forum in a thread stating the same reason why NHL isn't being released on PC. If there was another company making NHL on PC, EA would be more likely to release the game on PC.

The same goes for EA's NBA Live, there's more chance in the future of EA releasing NBA Live on PC, if 2K Sports continue to release their NBA game on PC.
But in the meantime we can only hope to have the games being released to PC. And expecting a full next-gen port is also another tall order. Maybe in 1-2 years time we can expect a full next-gen port when the next-gen consoles become more outdated and mainstream PC's catchup.

But until there's no competition, we are likely to get continued recycled versions of NBA 2K games on PC.

Mainstream PC's aren't "Catching up", This isn't 2006, The PS4 and XBONED have cell phone CPU's and mid range laptop GPU's.

That describes the situation pretty well, At this rate by the time the Nvidia 900 series is out (2015-16) we'll be right back at the same massive performance gap that we've had for the last few years, Sports games not being ported because of "Less powerful hardware" is bullshit and an excuse for laziness.
