I think MyLeague will be VC earner since you can earn VC in this mode, but won't spend any in there.

Yeah, I'm with you. I do go back, because the gameplay is still good, but it just feels so inferior now.

Graphics aren't the most important thing ever, not to me at least. Old graphics don't change the fact that 2K14 plays well. 2K15 may or may not have better gameplay. At this point, all we know for sure is that the graphics and Association will be better (barring a plethora of game-breaking bugs, obviously). Do yourselves a favor and keep a cool head for now, folks.

The real downside to having next gen is that we'll supposedly have to deal with all the VC bullshit now, not that "it makes 2K14 look inferior".

Graphics and gameplay are both equally important.
If graphics are so bad that it breaks immersion then no matter how good the gameplay is I won't enjoy the game.

@ssp0929 - Exactly. A good game has a balance of graphics and gameplay. I thought Live had better graphics on the consoles starting 06/07 so I thought Live was better. Then I got my hands on 2K7 or 2K8 and fell in love with the 2K franchise. 2K9 was a big graphical upgrade for me that now gave 2K good graphics and gameplay. I haven't really felt dramatic changes in gameplay from 2K9 till now. Maybe 2K15 will bring some change with the NG graphics. I have no issue with the current gameplay though.

I'm so pumped. I hope we can play the MyLeague games with a friend locally. That's what I do 80% when I play 2k. It would also be great to be able to play those games online as well, like I used to do in one of the older 2k's in Association mode. I think it was 2k9... Not sure.

Are 2K14 PC graphics "so bad that it breaks immersion" to you or was that a general statement?

i believe what he ment was

that after knowing we will have next gen in 1,5 months its hard to play 2k14 on PC because you realise how inferior it looks to next gen like never before

it looks not "so bad" in itself.. but if you see that 2k15 PC screenshots its hard to go back :D

Knowing that there is a better product graphically and featurewise yes. My immersion is broken.
I bought 2K14 and was disappointed the entire year because we didn't get the next-gen version at the time.
Was legitimately never going to buy 2K games again until they shocked us with a full-featured port starting with 2K15.

Hopefully they get some good sales off the PC. If there isn't a good enough improvement, who knows if they take their time to keep making NG versions for PC.

Oh, man. Graphics were likely the ONLY better thing about the next gen 2K14. On the PC, you had IMO the best gameplay since 2K11 and still had all the customization and features that were missing on next gen (and looks like are being brought back for 2K15, at least most of them). Not to mention tying everything to 2K's historically terrible servers, which (shockingly!) resulted in nothing but problems and frustrations as well as the VC shitfest leading to massive backlash from the community.

If graphics are important enough for you to negate all that, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the subject. I genuinely consider the last gen version of 2K14 the better overall product.

Yeah! I think they will improve it now even more. Like the other players will have voices and not just subtitles. And maybe the game should not be very scripted. Like after the 5th game, there will be always an ad offer. Even if you are awful at the game.

If a less scripted experience in MyCAREER is what you're after, then you're probably not going to like what the direction that mode has taken on PS4/X1 (and is thus about to take on PC). The presentation is fantastic, I can appreciate the work that went into it and everything, but it's far more scripted than it was on the previous generation.

I love scripted...as long as it doesn't get repetitive. Which it does like the manager/friend and General manager. I only got to/through the second season on 2K14. I honestly enjoyed the rivalry the most in MyCareer.

Then it probably won't be an issue for you. Personally, I'm not a fan of the direction they've taken MyCAREER in.

If you want unscripted MyCareer, your best bet is gonna be to play 2K14 with updated rosters.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is "scripted" in this context? I'm trying to figure it out but I Can't.... thanks guys.

The twists and turns of your career, certain events happening to everyone at the same point of their career game. While there was some of that in the previous generation - getting sponsorships early, becoming a starter after the first five games if you played well enough, etc - it's particularly egregious with the new direction, because of the story-driven backdrop.

It's not a terrible idea per se, though it could be done better. It doesn't appeal to me because I don't really feel as in control of the mode as I used to, and I know I'm basically going to go through the same motions as everyone else. That's fine for WWE 2K or GTA or other genres of games, but I'm not a fan of it as far as 2K is concerned. No matter though, it just means that I'm personally inclined to spend more time with modes like MyGM and of course, the new MyLEAGUE.

hmmm... but the 2k15 will have those features, right? The cool things that make the MyCarrer cool.... at least it has to be better than the 2k14 for PC... I like to play My carrer modes, btw.

NBA 2K15 PC's MyCAREER mode will be identical to the one on PS4/X1.

I just watch the MyCareer of YMDGento on YouTube and Ive seen the next gen version of it. It was nice but I hope 2k can put a branching storyline on it this time.

Yep. It is. I am okay with what was served last year on PS4/X1 but maybe they can put more work on it now since they have learned from what they did last year. But now that I think of it, there is a slim chance of that happening because they might have spent some time on developing MyLEAGUE. That is okay because just reading what MyLEAGUE has to offer got me interested, too.
