Has anyone who pre-ordered on Steam gotten their locker code?

I haven't, although I got several thousand VC for no apparent reason while playing MyCAREER.

NBA Live needed on PC :D

NBA Live doesn't even compare. Screw EA, they abandoned the PC after Live 08, at least 2K stuck by us.

Servers are melting and Europe hasn't even released yet. I can't login, redeem any codes, try out MyPlayer or go online.

Anyone else not able to connect to the server when trying to go to MyCareer? It keeps saying it can't retrieve the VC history associated with my account...ugh.

Yeah, servers are fucked ATM. It's day one, so, although it's not excusable, it's to be expected.

Still haven't heard anyone with a on point comparison of 2K15 as opposed to 2K14. Is the gameplay better, better animations? Is the defense better guarding drives to the rim? Is offensive rebounding still ridiculous? Or is it just a patched version of 2K14? Let us know who don't have the game yet. Thx.

I just played a little bit to adjust some settings and get a first feel of the game, and it's very very promising so far. Aside from everything that's presentation-related, which really shows how much 2K is willing to invest into every facet of this game, the game itself looks awesome, with very smooth animations, realistic player behavior, mostly incredible faces (and visuals in general), and as always very intuitive controls. Very exciting about getting a PC version of that caliber.

There's not a lot of impressions/feedback compared to other years day one. Where are all the game play videos? In the past, on day one, there were a lot of user videos.

Yeah, I agree… I'm getting pretty concerned… nobody seems to be overly impressed on the PC end of things--given that we have the NextGen graphics on PC… its making me pretty nervous… I very foolishly pre-ordered the "PHYSICAL COPY" and thanks to my shitty internet, I won't be playing it for another 16+ hours (I've been downloading since 11am--which means I've been downloading it for 13 f'in hours so far), so I'd like to see something to give me hope that this was all worth it.

All the retro Bulls uniforms look like absolute shit, shrunken numbers and letters and tight 80's style for the 90's teams. Jordan and a lot of the other legends had better cyberfaces on the previous gen and the player models look much too skinny. Unacceptable and just plain lazy. The soundtrack is trash. Having to play that introductory music video game with the Spurs vs Heat really pissed me off. Why they waste money on hiring guys like Pharrell or Jay Z is beyond me, they can pick the songs off any 14 year old's ipod and it really wouldn't matter. I'm usually gonna uncheck 80% of the songs anyway.

I've had a default roster file (which you have to save to be able to edit it in the first place) delete itself on me three times. I've had created players that I've deleted then randomly un-delete themselves. The online doesn't work but it's only day one so I'm not upset about that (I only use the 2KShare thing anyway, never been into playing this game online). I've had random crashes to desktop in MyGM and MyLeague. The trade A.I. in any mode that has it is still bonkers (I saw Phoenix trade Eric Bledsoe to the Lakers for Steve Nash and Rajan Rondo go to Chicago to be Derrick Roses backup in exchange for Joakim Noah, among other odd moves). By the time the real NBA rosters are set in stone, there's probably gonna be anywhere from 15-20 players on teams missing from the game. Dat realistic 2K official roster work yo.

I've not tried MyPlayer yet, not too interested in that mode anyway.

Also, the music sucks, but that's more of a personal thing, I hate rap and R&B.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

- MUCH (MUCH) better menu system. Responsive, not using the right stick and easy to navigate. Finally.

- Smoother, more responsive controls imo. Game still lacks transition/bridging animations which ruin the immersion though and most moves are canned, unable to be changed midway through.

- Graphics are a mix of improve and downgrade in my eyes. Stadiums feel tiny, making the gameplay cams look like toys in a shoebox, seems to be no real time lighting this year (or less pronounced) as the stadiums feel lifeless, most classic players have less detail and worse models than last year (the entire Spurs classic team is horrible, Allen Iverson is noticeably worse than 2K14 Next gen etc), visual bugs with certain hair transparency (Jeremy Lin for example) and weird eye lashes. But the tattoo resolution is higher, the sweat looks better and overall it still looks great.

- Similar to the look and feel of the stadiums, the proportions of the players to the court is weird. Seems to be little spacing and looks as if all ten players (for example two on each block, two in the pockets and one at the top of the key) could all hold hands if outstretched.

- Player movement and off ball collision seems slightly improved.

- Overall it's 2K14 with a patch imo. Feel bad for paying full price but I wanted a bball game on PC.

-I like the menu, it's different, but it looks better.

-Gameplay wise, it's way harder to defend the CPU, they seem to shoot like 70%. Offense is cool though, feels more realistic, especially with the passing and ball movement. Funny thing is that I don't travel with any player except Kobe. I got at least 3 travel calls called against me when I was using him LOL

-Graphics looks nice, somewhat better than 2k14, too bad I can't play on high settings without lag unless I turn off special effects, and turning off special effects gets rid of the court reflection (N) Hopefully they patch this lag since my graphics card can play FIFA 15 with no problem at all high settings.

-myTeam looks interesting, seems a bit similar to Ultimate Team Mode for FIFA 15. Haven't got too much into the mode though other than unpack some cards.

Hopefully they patch some things for the PC community.

A thousand times yes! Screw EA til they're raw in their stank ass. Screw Peter Moore with a rusty 3 inch diameter pipe with serrated edges. We're all pirates, huh? Consoles and shitty microtransactions in app games are the future huh? See this $60? It's going straight to 2k. Nyah nyah. You can't have it.

As a PC user who doesn't yet have the game, I don't even need to speculate whether it's better or not than 2k14. Just the online matchup ability AND the next gen graphics is well worth the price difference 20 times over. ($60 vs last year's $30). I can't count the number of hours my friends and I have wasted trying to get a team up match that did not have jerks. Cannot believe 2k forced us to play crap matchups like OKC v Memphis. Or Heat v Orlando. Really?

Anyone have any idea why all these game companies have decided to stop dedicated servers? 2k doesn't make any money off online transactions after the initial $60 2k15 software sale so why (other than checking cd keys) will they not allow users to host their own 2k games?

I just played my first online game through Steam, and I absolutely demolished a Cleveland Cavs cheeser..... he actually rage quit with the 4th quarter starting, I was up 15 and kept a steady 10 point lead the whole time....
I played proper basketball with multiple guys close to double digit points with my Clippers.
I really REALLY hope that it's true when 2K said, the Cheese era is over, I hope this wasn't just a fluke.... it's the first online game I've ever played that rewarded proper basketball and not arcade players

When I say cheeser, I mean he meets every single criteria for cheesing, the turbo smashing, the steal button mashing, then the long full court inbound passes because he can't be bothered to bring the ball up with his point guard he's in a rush to go turbo ram cheese mode with LeBron....

lol, it feeeeeeelt sooooooooooooooo good, I actually tried looking him up on Steam to talk some shit, but STeam wouldn't bring up a list of recently played players for some reason
