I went to the "local" (hour away) Best Buy today. It is indeed the Steam Powered logo but Best Buy is not taking any preorders for the PC version of the game. Their preorder cards are only for the 4 console versions.

At the moment there aren't that many details on the game at all, except the cover player, release date, and pre-order bonuses.

Honestly if it is this late then it probably not happening.
They have nothing to lose from announcing the PC version would be a next gen port.
People would probably be more willing to preorder should that be the case.

I see the next gen vers. porting over to PCs in 2-4 years.
We kinda already know that real high-end PCs can handle next-gen graphics like it ain't nothin.
But we still have broke a** dudes w/low-end PCs/laptops (like myself) who still want to play/mod this.
So I dont know about making the next gen move rn.
They'll probly make separate ports like GTA V ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here I do not agree. Even Middle-end PC's is also can handle next-gen games/graphics, if you look at the specs of NG consoles. Another thing - optimization of pc ports.

I can see it looking a bit downgraded next to next gen consoles, but still similar.

Every game gets pirated. The point is the majority of those aren't lost sales. People who pirate most likely would never have purchased the game anyway.

I have seen this site before. They are just looking for traffic to their site. They don't know ship, they have ZERO "inside scoop" and offer NO official statements from 2K, AND they never had ANY interviews with any of the devs. Like I said, they know what the community wants, so they make junk articles claiming they "know" what's going on. The same exact thing happened with GTA V on PC. smh. There is still hope guys.

Probably shouldn't link articles that have no official news from 2K anymore (and there won't be any official news for months still). Like pistonnation said, those sites put random stuff up to get traffic and linking them here is just gonna get some peoples expectations up too high.

At this point with 2K it's better to have lower expectations. Come release day there will be less disappointment.

imho, NBA 2K15 will be like a make or break kind of thing for 2K.
EA has shown that they have stepped up their game a bar higher (At least graphically) and it will all be depending on how 2K delivers.
I just played 2K11 and boy, I can honestly say that it is better than 2K14 overall.
But, let's be real. There is no other PC basketball game so it is likely that they won't make a 'generation leaping' change for the PC version. It may be but the chance is very slim.
Draft is coming up, maybe they'll spill some news around that time like they did last year.

If they announce "next" gen version for PC I'm preordering right now.
