Re: Post your PC specs and performance here

Crappy computer can still run at/below ps4 quality.

I like big screens so I game at 720pish(1360x768)

AMD Phenom II black edition @ 3.6
8gb of 1600mhz ram
6950 1gb
Windows 8.1

Some AA
Texture set to medium(High drops to the 40s)
Player detail High
Crowd Low(could give a crap)
Special effects on
Shader on

But getting a steady 60fps with above settings. Dips to 45 after a bucket/cutscene. Cant complain. Looks one step below the ps4 verison I own.

This is crazy I was thinking it would run like crap. Playing with RadeonPro now and see if I can squeeze a little more out. High textures is a big no no.

Do have one question. Hair looks really weird for longer type hair(white players, Leonard braids etc) I believe its an issue with AA or something, Anyone can help with this issue?

The refresh rate has nothing to do with the graphic card, it's related to the monitor/screen itself. Since the vast majority of PC monitors are capped at 60Hz, that's all you get.

I give up. Duo core, geforce gtx 275. It doesn't play right even with all settings crapped out. What i don't understand is why my pc can run 2k14 on high settings just fine, but 2k15 on its lowest settiings can't run smooth even though it looks 10x worse than 2k14 on its highest settings. I don't get enough of how pc's work, but that just doesn't make sense to me.

Oh well. Looks like i'm out for the year. No way i can afford a ps4 or high end pc right now.

Can a GTX 660, i7 3770K @3.5 GHz, 16GB of RAM loaded with Windows 8.1 (64-Bit) get 60FPS or higher on max settings on a 1920x1080 monitor? Games like BF4 and Metro Last Light get 50-60FPS average on my rig at max settings.

i am running with medium getting 30-40 fps but its still lagging like wtf 2k im stuttering every 5 seconds and the shot timer is lagging too ANNYOGINGG

BTW anyone know how to solve the green layer on courts issue? Every court glows green no matter how low or high of settings i use

During regular gameplay I didn't see it drop below 80fps and fps rate during cutscenes doesn't interest me as long as it is smooth (and it is).

dommy please let me understand, because im almost sure i will have to apolygize 2k, why in the holly shit my old desktop with old 470gtx can run this game with full stable 60fps during gameplay(all maxed out with AAx4 and AA quality 4, with drops in replays to 35(i can live with this because i just turn them off), and my similar powerful laptop cant run full stable 60fps even with Special Effects off. Whats wrong?

Well, it's a laptop - even GTX 670M is less powerful than that GTX 470. Not even mentioning cooling problems with laptops and how gaming literally burns through the north bridge.

timetravelprimer wrote:Dommy, I am only writing this because a question about my RIG wasn't answered in "Specs released" thread. After the trailers and all that I got hot-headed and pre-ordered with my blind folds on hoping that Medium-High setting swere enough. Now I'm hearing that 60 fps is a must, medium settings are dissapointing. I'm devasted and thinking about returning this game. So one last time, what can I expect with my RIG:

FX-6300
GTX 650 1GB
8GB RAM

I just want this game to be playable next-gen experience. Don't care about maxing out.

Well, that's just it - there's Low, Medium and High settings. And then there are some extra effects.
As with most games there's only one way to find out and that's to try it. You might even find out, that you'll be fine with less than 60fps.

next week or the week after i will upgrade my CPU to an AMD FX 8320 and upgrade to 8gb Ram
High settings im coming for you :D

Man,

Grab a i5 4460 over FX 8320, for games is huge better! Search at youtube and compare sites.

Too lazy to edit my last post. Clarification to people who read my post.
I have a TOSHIBA Satellite L50D-B laptop with R4 Graphics and R5 M230 (APU A6-6310). At first, it runs really slow even at lowest settings @720p.
Turns out NBA2K15.exe was not configured on my AMD Catalyst Control Panel. I switched it to Max Performance then, voila! I can run it smoothly(>30 fps) at highest settings @720p. For those having problems on laptop, check your graphics control panel first.

The GTX 570M is basically a GTX 560 with approximately 500MHz lower Core Speed, 1000MHz lower Memory Speed, and smaller Memory Bus width. Generally a GTX 560 and a GTX 470 (Your desktop GPU) are very similar. The difference is your GPU does not get as much as power as a Desktop GPU. As far as VRAM it's only important when Textures are the matter.

The i5 in your laptop is also a Dual-Core with Hyper-Threading so you can think of it as a similarly clocked i3 Processor. So even if it's a 2nd Gen i5 as a Dual-Core it may not perform as well as an old i7 if the game utilizes 4-Cores or more.

Both the CPU and GPU in your laptop are weaker than your Desktop. Your laptop being a few years old it probably does not have as good as cooling as the newer laptops do so they can probably throttle the speeds due to the heat, giving you bad performance. I have yet to test the game so I can't say that I am correct, but a GTX 470 is old and a GTX 560M is old too. A 750 Ti does well against a GTX 480 so it could be that your video cards are on the older side now.

here's a screenshot, it kinda gets blurry when I am running a fast break, like if you see Robert Sacre,, kinda like that. Monitor refresh rate is 60hertz.. any fix?

I hope it will play at least in medium settings.

Still on installation mode....

You would be lucky to run 2K15 at low with a video card such as the GT 430 which has 1GB memory...
I have a GT 540M 2GB, I think i'd be able to barely run it at medium..

Believe it or not, I run it smoothly at 1360x768 @58.9Hz, 2 level AA, Vertical Sync is ON, Aspect Ratio ON, Texture Detail at Medium, Player Detail at High, Crowd at Low, Special Effects is ON and Shader at Low.

Not bad with a very outdated VC right?

That means my 540M could get smooth FPS at 1366x768 at medium settings, and bro could you show some screenshots too? I'm pretty curious about the graphics atm at dx11

Well it looks like my specs are way to low, i understand this but its for sure no problems with cooling. GPU 69degrees after one hour of playing, CPU with 71 maximum. Still its weird how this game works. Why in the hell, i can play first quarter on my desktop with full stable smooth 60fps and start dropping to 40-20fps + freeze very often? This is not fps or rpg game when changing scenario/map causes frame drops, this is basketball court, nothing change, same court, same players, same crowd, same everything. So why fps drops like crazy? I even open my case so be 100% sure its not overheating, check temperature, everything in norm.

U know what? i can run smooth with almost all nowadays games with full settings or small modification, my laptop is 2 year old, cooling is ok, np with temperatures. Month ago i open it, no dust inside, no dust on fan. But the main problem is i dont want to have same fps on laptop with same settings from desktop. I lowered my settings on laptop(turn off special effects and medium on players details) and still my game runs like shiiiit. 40fps maximum with stuttering and drops. My last try will be flash bios from 670M if this not help my only thoughts are optimalization or drivers because i see many guys with lower spec run smooth.

medium+special effect off looks poor, believe me :|

we need new nvidia drivers for this, but nvidia is lazy when sports games are the case. if this was some fps or rpg, we would have game ready drivers already yesterday.

sko, good to see you play 2k15, it seems you won't quit on it :cheeky: gives us new URB hope when tools are out

Radeon HD 7870 GHZ
8GB Ram
Core i5 3570k

It's like I'm playing one of the older games from how smooth this is running. Highest settings. But my monitor is only 1440x900 so that's probably why.

Lets not start another AMD vs Intel thing here shall we?

Intel fares better in Benchmarks but the diffrenece in real life Gaming is usually under 10FPS... i dont care if my game runs at 110 or 120fps... stutter free is stutter free is stutter free..^^
compared to my 9550 both will be more than enough... also while the i5 might be better NOW.. the AMD with its 8 cores and Hyperthreading is propably more suited for future games, since more and more games are using more Threads

also i have to add im on a strict budged.. i rather spend the 30-35€ price difference on a good cooler and OC the AMD

Re: Post your PC specs and performance here

Thu Oct 09, 2014 10:01 pm

Hyperthreading is exclusively Intel tech, AMD has SMT.
Plus HT is basically just an intelligent workload manager.

Re: Post your PC specs and performance here

Thu Oct 09, 2014 10:06 pm

whatever its called its used to the same purpose^^ enables the CPU to manage more Threads at once

and while its correct that most games right now arent yet using alot of Threads... its coming fast.. so 8 cores are propably more future proof
but nevermind.. i made my desicion .. :)

Re: Post your PC specs and performance here

Thu Oct 09, 2014 10:13 pm

8 cores? Yeah, probably.
4 cores with 8 threads? Less probably. So far I recall reading about HT having at most 15% performance increase for games. It's useful for multitasking, not running single game.
