yeah i just noticed that ahaha. I thought it said pre-order, and then I saw "NBA 2K". Whoops. I guess reserve is different than pre-order.JaoSming wrote:4s look a lot like 5s huh

Companies frequently lose money releasing to PC (or barely break even) and tend to make a fortune on console versions. This is why more and more of them are turning to consoles only (or favoring consoles with "superior" versions). I use the word superior lightly since 2K14 kinda sucked on all the platforms last year, despite the graphics on the console versions it was a bug-ridden, VC infested mess.
It'd be nice if every gaming platform was treated evenly, but that's just a dream that will probably never happen. PC will almost always get the short end of the stick, it sucks, but that's the way it is.

Look at Watch Dogs, Titan Fall... "Better" on PC

Actually, rumor has it that EA paid a lot of the warez teams to not crack the game. Their is only one good pirated copy online, and that was after a while.jmmontoro wrote:Piracy is an issue for NBA 2K, their protections are almost non existing, pirate copies on PCs can get online easily, until they solve that they'll always take hits and water down the port.
FIFA is the perfect example, they revamped their model in 13 and that version and the current one 14 weren't cracked, all pirate versions have multiple bugs, which caused many gamers to purchase their copies and open themselves to the online capabilities of the game which now are hard to give up.

At the same time, I log onto the PC online and see maybe 6 people online at a time (in the online menu, not playing the game, that number maxes out at just over 2,000 http://steamcharts.com/app/255480 )
I just checked the PS3 online menu, 44,320. You can say its because PC has been fucked year after year, you can say the PS3 number is inflated because of PS+, but this number has always been like this. Here is a post from 2K10, the first year of 2K PC with online enabled, and it mentioned ~500 people online viewtopic.php?f=122&t=69293#p1113491 I can't remember seeing that number go over 1,000, but I'd be happy to be wrong.
Again it sucks, again it may not be ethically right, but people are not playing on PC and of those people they are not playing online. The best we can says is "they could though!" But if you take the all time highest amount of people playing the digital PC version of 2K and compare it to Sunday morning PS3, and get 5% of that number.... if 2K can cut costs by killing PC server load by removing online features, it is understandable.
Hell, if PC even had crews or Blacktop online, would anyone even play it enough for matchmaking? I remember 2K10 online's waiting for matchmaking, it sucked.
