Talk about NBA 2K15 here.

That might be caused by some extra details being added to players as you zoom in. But from what I saw, I've got frame drops only on camera cuts showing bigger parts of staidum - rendering all the visitors.
And it got much better when I blew out philly - all of the sudden I noticed that the stadium is half empty in closing minutes :D

And it can't run at all except on lowest settings possible and even then everything looks worse than 2K14 and some in-game things like Shaq and Ernie don't generate properly. When I try running on max settings everything screws up. I don't know what's wrong, it should be able to run it perfectly... Does anyone have any idea?

The game is probably using the integrated intel GPU instead of your 870. You might have to make a profile for the game in the nvidia control panel and tell it to use the GTX instead.

Thanks! This did solved my issue perfectly. Do you have any settings you would recommend to get the best quality out of this? I still have some issues similar to the guy who posted the Wade pic with some players hair like Swaggy P and Jeremy Lin. I'll upload a pic as an example in a bit.

u know what i read this

Everything on high, some AA and texture fitltering forced via drivers - gotta configure that.

Performance: general stadium gameplay 80-100 fps, during whole stadium cuts it sometimes drops to 50-55 (but you don't play when this is on anyway)

and now im really shocked, ok game over. 2k15 over.

Yeah, the frames do drop a bit during really wide shots of the whole stadium, but during actually gameplay, it's buttery smooth.

Skoadam: why it's over? It was totally smooth for me all the time.
During regular gameplay I didn't see it drop below 80fps and fps rate during cutscenes doesn't interest me as long as it is smooth (and it is).

Sure ;) but stuttering ain't part of the game code (so that is established) ;) Actually with vsync off the game runs @120fps :D (dropping to 85 in after basket cut scenes).

Dommy, I am only writing this because a question about my RIG wasn't answered in "Specs released" thread. After the trailers and all that I got hot-headed and pre-ordered with my blind folds on hoping that Medium-High setting swere enough. Now I'm hearing that 60 fps is a must, medium settings are dissapointing. I'm devasted and thinking about returning this game. So one last time, what can I expect with my RIG:

FX-6300
GTX 650 1GB
8GB RAM

I just want this game to be playable next-gen experience. Don't care about maxing out.

dommy please let me understand, because im almost sure i will have to apolygize 2k, why in the holly shit my old desktop with old 470gtx can run this game with full stable 60fps during gameplay(all maxed out with AAx4 and AA quality 4, with drops in replays to 35(i can live with this because i just turn them off), and my similar powerful laptop cant run full stable 60fps even with Special Effects off. Whats wrong?

timetravelprimer, its not easy, because medium imo looks poor, high is the only one good set, so u must check. I can tell you to compare with your spec, im full stable with all maxed out on i7(first generation)+470gtx+8GB RAM. My card have 1,25 GB of GDDR, yours 1GB but still mine is old construction so i think you will be good. (Y)

It looks like 970M can handle...maybe. Please guys dont tell me this is good optimalization, cmon i know its not FIFA, but this is still sport game, not some benchmark game a'la Crysis, i can understand all, fps drop in close ups but in normal camera distance? drops -20fps. Literally fuuuck!

Unfortunately yes  I can't get steady 60fps with my rig with special effects on.

It also doesn't seem like my GPU is being used much at all. Normally when I game the fan spools up pretty loud... When i play nba2k15 though, it stays silent... So hopefully there is room to optimize. However, I am not holding my breath in this department based on previous PC support from NBA2k.

I think i know where is problem.
I review all threads with spec and perf, and for me it looks like laptop drivers cant handle. Look im the best example. My desktop run smooth but laptop not. Very similar specs, very different performance. Both nvidia. My GPU in laptop reach 80 degrees, silent but 99% of usage.

To all of you that have powerfull system, play the game on 1440p downgraded to your 1080p monitors. It looks amazing, beyond my highest expectations. This game is to be rightfully called next gen one in terms of setting the bar way above any other sports simulation game. I still do not beleave how great it looks, and how good the gameplay and all the little things in movement are made.  :applaud: :bowdown2:

Actually I missed out that my new gpu has DSR feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsvG9kJkYKM) which is basically the same. Now I am trying to run the game @4 x native resolution = 3840x2400. Edit: only ~40fps  will lower it until I find a sweet-spot.

Anyone can explain, what exactly do "Texture detail level" (which objects are affected)?. I can not see any difference, but its enough reduce performance from Medium to High texture level.

It effects every texture in the game, pretty much. The difference is very noticeable from low to high. I haven't tested medium, though.

i know, it looks only me got some real problems with this edition, but can any1 help me find solution for my problems. So i play first quarter with stable 60fps, second with problems, game freeze for a moment, i hear voice continuations, this happen 10 times maybe, in the halftime show again 10 times, third again, fps drops to 20fps, when full first quarter without any drop or freeze. First thought, temperatures of cpu or gpu. Checked with two tools, everything correct, gpu with 80degrees(but its 470) and cpu with 70degrees. Remember its old i7, he can be even more hot. No problems with other games. Maybe i missed some sofware, i just dont know what it can be, i see this kind of issue first time.
