My setup:
CPU: i7 4700k
GPU: EVGA GTX 760 2GB Overclocked

25~ fps on max settings.
Unplayable when driving or moving at high speeds in the game.

Watch Dogs butchered optimizing so badly, it was a joke.

You should download the WorseMod. It fixes some of the choppiness when moving at high speeds, and improves the graphics to E3 2012 levels.

I'm thinking that NBA 2K15 on the lowest settings will look and run something like NBA 2K14 on the highest settings. That's probably why the minimum requirements are so low. IMO if you have a GTX x50 or AMD Rx 250 or higher, I wouldn't go out and upgrade my GPU just yet. Especially if you have a good CPU and 4-8 GB RAM. Just wait and see how it runs on your current system first and go from there.

I would not upgrade my CPU until after the game is released if I had:
A strong i3,Mid level i5 or any i7 made in the last 4 years.
AMD A8 6600K or higher, AMD FX 6100 or higher

If you only have 2-4GB RAM, it would be pretty cheap to double it. PC's can always use more RAM.

that doesnt make any since how can a game look like a current gen and a next gen they both have 2 different engines if you run it on low settings the resolution just looks worse thats it the graphics cant go from next gen to current gen thats messed columbus bad guess for you reallly reallly bad guess and 2k14 requirement are much down it requires a single core processor and reccomanded a bad dual core processor its still gonna look better then nba 2k14 on pc even on lowest settings

My guess was that NBA 2K15 on the lowest settings is going to "look something like" 2K14 on high settings. If you think your going to see huge improvements over 2K14 on high settings by playing 2K15 on the lowest settings your in for a surprise, especially if you have to drop your resolution(With a GT 520 you probably will). It will probably look a little better, but you have to remember that an older PC can only do so much. But hey, I could be wrong, 2K15 might be optimized much better than their previous releases. This is really the first year the PC has got any love from the devs so who knows?

Check out these to videos to see what I'm talking about.

Btw guys, regarding gamepad - I'm now using some cheap no-brand gamepad, which I emulate as x360 controller for windows, so games work out-of-box with it.
However it seems that the left analog stick has only 8 ways in NBA 2K14 (at least).
Is it caused by the cheap gamepad? Would that improve with purchase of some better controller?
What gamepad would you recommend? I didn't particularly like Xbox controller layout, but maybe it's just about habit.

I use one of these http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940-000110-Gamepad-F310/dp/B003VAHYQY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408738806&sr=8-1&keywords=logitech+f310

So far it's worked fine, But the analog stick has a bigger deadzone then a 360/XBONED controller.

I use that one too. It's a very dependable controller.

@djherokiller I would definitely go with the F310. I have never even heard of that other company. Whereas Logitech is well respected when it comes to game controllers. Or you could go with the F510 which is a little better but costs more.

If anyone wants to benchmark, try a game like Tomb Raider 2013. If you can run that game at max settings with the TressFX, you should be fine. It's not an exact match, but it will help.

If you want a great match, wait for FIFA 15. THAT should be an excellent test on hardware for 2K15, since they have very similar things, as far as high res textures and a ton of people on the screen at the same time and all that stuff.

Yes, All of the above. I have played all those games with the F310, No problems.

Edit: By the way I have dropped mine on the hardwood floor probably 1000 times and it keeps on ticking like the day I first got it. It's very durable.

I am just wondering if having PhysX or not will drastically affect game performance.
I am planning to buy either an R9 280X or GTX 770 (though I am more inclined to the AMD card because of $$$)

In short, is it advantageous if I opt for the nVidia card which aside from the PhysX feature, has no large advantage to the AMD card?

To my knowledge NBA 2K15 doesn't use PhysX. Not many games do.

Plenty of games use PhysX, but certainly not a sports game.
