Good to know (Y)

The thing is also that where I live (Latvia, EU) we get all new gpu's as early as others (except for US maybe which get everything bit faster :D) at a cost which is about +15-20% what you would pay in US for the same GPU, but local re-sellers are very slow to update/reduce prices for older models, that is why I haven't got a good to deal on a video card which is still a good performer with reduced price, so I usually try to buy mid-high-level video card 2-3 months after its initial release locally when prices are more/less stable and not overblown. For example, when GTX 780 became available locally price of GTX 680 stayed intact for 3 months although mostly everywhere else GTX 680 saw significant price reductions (~20% if I remember correctly) much sooner. So considering all of the above you can understand my position a bit better

Even with those vague specifications, it looks like 2k will continue to be processor intensive, and people with mid rangevideo cards should be able to run the game comfortably provided they have a good cpu.

I'm not so sure how I will fair with my amd Fx 6100, but maybe my 7970 Radeon will allow me to run at 1080p.

I think you'll be just fine. Maybe you won't max out everything, but for FullHD it should be more than enough on reasonable settings.

I went for FX-8320 (spring 2013) and it served me perfectly. Now that I have Asus Sabertooth mobo I was able to stable OC the CPU to 4.2GHz on stock voltage.

If so, how can we explain the existence of Core2Duo in requirements, even if the minimum? From this fact, for example, cannot be sure that in the game main is CPU, i think :?

any stock six core amd, or quad core, possibly even dual core intels should be able to run it just fine and then some. an i7 for this game is complete overkill.

for you guys who are looking for upgrade just for this game, i'd advise you try your current build first as long as it's decent. although it is a good time to upgrade with games like gta5, evolve, project cars, far cry 4, dragon age, w3 etc coming out :)

What's w3?
Anyway, now's good time to upgrade as any other time. Well built PC can last 3-5 years unless you lower your demands.

yeah dude its ok watch dogs is badly optimized even my brothers intel core i5 with nvidia gtx 660 ti ultra boost overclocked sometimes gets 20 fps and thats insane if you wana test a game on your laptop to see if you can run nba 2k15 the closest system requirments to nba 2k15 is max payne 3 with dual core as minimum and intel core i7 as reccomanded i get a solid 40-50 fps on some low settings and some medium settings

Watchdog has some of the worst optimization in recent memory.

dont worry KP13

Watch Dogs is not a good example

sure it looks great and if your PC can run it AT ALL it says something about your PC

but FPS are not really conistent... sometimes i get 45fps sometimes 15fps.. very weird^^

Watch Dogs is a bad benchmark, because its terribly optimized and it needs way more CPU power than NBA2K will.

Just so everybody is aware, any video card with the Fermi architecture(GTX 500) or newer will work with DirectX 12.

I have one question, guys. Is Saints Row IV a next-gen game? I just played it and it looks good. Any of you know if it's next-gen?

IMO It's really different to tell which game is NG and which not, the jump between them in graphics/requirements is not that big. For me the 1st authentic next gen game will be The Witcher 3; it's gonna make the difference.

like i said if u can run max payne 3 u can run 2k15 they both have the same requirements basically but my guess is that nba 2k15 is better optimized then max payne 3 too cause my guess is that nba 2k15 will have more setting options then any other sports game so that will be greatest guess my guess is that my dual core pc can run the game at 40-60 fps in low settings and maybe some medium settings and then when i add 4 more gb of ram i can add more medium settings so the game will run even better

no saints row 4 is not what i would call a next gen game

Max Payne 3 is a good benchmark.. it comes out on Ps4

or try the "new" Tomb Raider

open world games like Watch_Dogs and even SR4 are quite different from Sports Games

My setup:
CPU: i7 4700k
GPU: EVGA GTX 760 2GB Overclocked

25~ fps on max settings.
Unplayable when driving or moving at high speeds in the game.

Watch Dogs butchered optimizing so badly, it was a joke.
