Pharrell said in a statement to The Associated Press that he wanted to create an "eclectic mix" of songs. Three of his songs are featured on the soundtrack including "Hunter," ''Can I Have It Like That" and "How Does It Feel?"

Another song Pharrell will be featured on is Major Lazer's "Aerosol Can." The soundtrack will also include songs from Lauryn Hill, One Republic, Snoop Dogg, Lorde, A Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliott, Junior, Basement Jaxx, Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force, Clipse, Death from Above 1979, No Doubt, Public Enemy, Ratatat, Santigold, The Black Keys, The Rapture, The Strokes, Strafe, Depeche Mode and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"It was fun to include songs that I have always loved, like Strafe's "Set it Off" or Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario," he said. " The eclectic mix makes for a really cool vibe."

A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario
Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force - Planet Rock
Basement Jaxx - Hot ’n Cold
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - River Styx
Busta Rhymes - Dangerous
Clipse - Grindin’
Death from Above 1979 - Romantic Rights
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus
Junior - Mama Used to Say
Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing)
Lorde - Team
Major Lazer featuring Pharrell Williams - Aerosol Can
Missy Elliott - On & On
No Doubt - Spiderwebs
OneRepublic - Love Runs Out
Pharrell Williams - Hunter
Pharrell Williams - Can I Have It Like That
Pharrell Williams - How Does It Feel?
Public Enemy - Shut ‘Em Down (Pete Rock Remix)
Ratatat - Seventeen Years
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Suck My Kiss
Santigold - Creator
Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It’s Hot
Strafe - Set It Off
The Black Keys - Everlasting Light
The Rapture - House of Jealous Lovers
The Strokes - Under Cover of Darkness
Opinions are my own.

Damn, I hoped Capital Cities - Safe and Sound would be there. Just because Sebu Simonian looks like a white James Harden :D

Now seriously though... I went through the list and liked maybe 5 songs...

So, that was a variety of songs....

Like I said, Doo Wop (that think) omfg. lol. One of my first guilty pleasure don't tell anyone I like it songs. Always feel like I need to hear Big Pimpin' after it though.

Scenario and Planet Rock are amazingness.

That Pete Rock Remix of Shut 'Em Down is downright amazing. Through and through. Right up there for me with Pete Rock's Jump Around remix.

RHCP, No Doubt, Depeche Mode, other rock songs.....eh. Just, eh. Not in this setting.

The rest was too much Pharrell, he is featured or helped produce a lot more of these songs than what was initially led on.
Opinions are my own.

Better than last year's, which isn't saying much. Couple songs from past 2k games... It'll be a nice change from 2k14 but I'm sure I'll end up turning the music off within a couple weeks

Agree on all three points. I have that Pete Rock remix of Shut Em Down on my phone. I think it's great they continue to have an eclectic soundtrack, but I think they could have had a few newer gems in there. Live 14 had a few songs I have never heard that I like now, and 2K has done that a few times before.

That's not the soundtrack, that's just some Spotify user.

At least 6 songs written, produced or performed by Pharrell. Looks like I'm going to have to make my own soundtrack again this year.

It was possible last few years, I see no reason to remove this feature.

Dude I loved that song. I loved how it was always the first song that came up in 2k7. PARTY PEOPLE... PARTY PEOPLE...

Also, Pharell's in Drop It Like It's Hot in case y'all didn't know. It's a shame he couldn't put Let's Get Blown  cuz that song is better

Well, you can always play your own music on the background in foobar... But custom arena music would be amazing.

Yeah, looks like playing your own soundtrack in the background might be the way to go... again.

Not like I'd want to go back to the days of PS2 Live ports (especially with the latest news in mind), but one of the few things that in my opinion Live has always had over 2K is the music in the game. Oh well, not exactly a game-breaking issue.

I mean I don't really care for music in menus. You can easily substitute that with background music, sometimes it even sounds better (transition screens cutting songs in half etc).

What I would be excited about is custom arena music. Having custom tracks playing in timeouts, etc... With arena sound filters applied...

But I think we'll get /proper/ gameplay trailer during this weekend.

Just said that a few days ago, before the soundtrack was confirmed. Guess I was right.

Haha. First audio editor that show up for the game and I change all the soundrack.

He actually pick good groups, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers, OneRepublic, Snoop Dogg or even Lorde. But I just hope that audio editors will show up fast. Can't they just do something like GTA radios? Like put the musics you want in a folder and they will be played in game?

It may be because I have kind of an eclectic taste in music anyway, but I've never been too bothered by the soundtracks in NBA 2K (or NBA Live, for that matter). There have been some songs that I've been less fond of, but they kind of just fade into the background after a while.
