The league has new commisioner and with that new policies on how the league should be represented (in general) might come. Silver might be more of a "keep it real" guy, understanding that this kind of "censorship" doesn't work these days.
Teams were asking public to submit ideas for their new courts and jerseys.
I think we might see some jersey and court editor in a few years - with NBA having rights to use any of the designs. They are keeping up with current technologies after all.
