Is there a point in importing iffs if updates ruins it all ?

When I entered the game after the new update, all of my imported .iff files were replaced with the default ones. Player faces, net physics, the ball. Everything, and I was expecting a surprise like this. It is not a big deal, as I imported only 8 .iff files at the moment.

So the question is, is there a point in importing .iff files if updates will replace everything with the default files ? I mean this time I had 8 files replaced, but in 2-3 months from now, I could have like 200 + files. So it is a pain in the ass to start importing new iffs especially with the new system of importing wich takes twice the time it took last year ( with the drag and replace method). What do you think ? 2k should give us the freedom to keep our modified files, don't you agree ?

If you feel like mods are pointless because you might have to import them again in a couple of months, then don't use them.
This one might have been the last update anyway.

Don't think it is the last update. They were supposed to update hairstyles during the year.

My whole point wasn't that mods are useless, just trying to say that 2k should only update the files they want to, not replace the whole package

That's the disadvantage of putting resources into archives.

I wouldn't say it's pointless, but since things have changed, it just means that we may have to change our approach and our methods. That's how it's always been with modding; things change, we adapt and work with what we've got.
