Top 5 Passers

Postby Andrew on Mon Oct 06, 2014 8:00 pm

Revealed: http://www.easports.com/nba-live/news/2 ... er-ratings

  1. Chris Paul (97)
  2. Rajon Rondo (93)
  3. Ricky Rubio (91)
  4. Kendall Marshall (91)
  5. Tony Parker (88)

Kendall Marshall took me by surprise, but as noted in the article, he did put up some pretty impressive assist numbers last year: 8.8 per game, 11 per 36 minutes. Fair call out of the gate.

Used a formula that looks at assists and only passing turnovers while also looking at their per 36.

Nash didn't put up regular Nash like numbers. So, what could I do? I try to avoid legacy boosts when I can.

He still near the top in passing though just not elite like he used to be.

I hope he can return to form this year but, he's up there in age.

If that's the case, then do players like Nash get penalized for playing in fast breaking offenses? They'll have more possessions and more opportunities for turnovers than other players.

A lot of teams have gone away from uptempo offenses but the suns do come to mind. Does dragic get affected by this as well?

Good question.

I'd imagine higher tempo means more possessions for assists & turnovers. Their ratio should stay consistent.
