NBA Live 16,17 from highschool to the Pros.

Yes it can be done. since a mini tourney was done in NCAA football from EA. No its not that difficult. Even with people being all about likeness. Meaning.

You take all of the signed rookies, throw in some random players as well to make up a few teams. THis is what i would call a bootleg AAU super tournament.

You have regions
West, East, Midwest, South

you have 2 or so games. to be the regional champ. first game is to win your state tourney(championship game. because most nba players (top level role guys and stars) have been in or won a state championship).
Then you head to the regional tourney. 2 games

obviously the better you play in all of these games the better your player will be going into college. and the more college's will want him to play for them. you choose your college based on offer letters. choose wisely(if you choose a big time school that will get a lot of TV time, their's logic built in where you will get a lot more love from NBA scouts because they see you going head to head in a big time conferences vs some guy balling out in a very small school vs other small schools. but you also have to make sure if you goto a big school that someone isnt better then you taking up your time. you can red shirt that first year, you can change schools once. ) all college games will be simmed. until the end of the season with conf tourneys, and a march madness(your guy may or may not have made it in).

you can choose to leave college early after year one based on what you see with the scouting rumors are... but this isnt a full proof plan to make sure you get drafted. just like real life you can end up not being drafted at all and thrown into the FA pool. if you still dont get picked up. you can go to the Dleague.(this does not have to be authentic in early versions of this mode. no dleague lover will be upset about the baby sized arenas being perfect or not. these courts can be generic courts(give us 4 options, just with the team's logo and colors on them. thats it. ) the rosters will be filled out with players who played in ncaa and any guys that didnt go to college.

work your way up. if you're that good, obviously you will be drafted.

nba live will need to add the nba combine + 3 games. the superstars dont have to participate, because it can hurt or improve their stock. but since their stock is so high they may not want to take that gamble(just like you saw in real life with these guys this year). but you can be a sleeper who balls out and ends up in the lottery or at least going from undrafted to 2nd round pick up.

Now who will play in highschool. All of the real rookies that have made it to the nba in real life that year of nba live. will be in highschool and will play in their real life state, region. they will also end up on their real life college's(you wont have an issue with the ncaa since these guys that are now out of school are the only people in the game that have any likeness to real life players. everyone else aside from your rising star player is a cpu generated player. Now you already know just like EA opened ncaa football's highshchool rosters up for people to customize them. same will be said for the high school rosters here. but you cant touch the college rosters. since they will fill up on their own.

yes it can be done. yes a ton of people would love a mode like this. what EA should do is give people a choice. let them start out being drafted if they so well choose, OR let them start out from the ground up.

if EA is afraid to even say the word NCAA, then take that part out and make it like a large AAU tournament with a few more games then i originally stated. with the real rookies going into the nba actually on their correct state teams/regional teams. soforth and so on.

if you want an official stance on an idea like this, I brought it up to Sean O'Brien during last week's podcast
Opinions are my own.

i heard the podcast. which is why i made this thread. The manner in which you pose the question made Sean give an answer that seemed like "yeah we could probably one day do something like that." as if its LIVE 2020 or something.

Thats because you asked the question in a really general way. For example. if you ever get a chance to bring that up again. you have to some what lead him and say "hey we dont need an entire high school season, we dont even need the real high school (let the custom roster websites take care of that for you).. we dont necessarily need the ncaa, we can use fake schools or a fake teams(AAU like teams). that again doesnt have to be realistic as far as who's playing on what team. the only thing that would be cool is if the right people played at least for their proper state. Meaning the actual rookies that were drafted into the nba that same year. the rest of rosters would be filled out by CPU generated players. again this could also be left open for custom rosters.

it all depends on how the question is asked and how its presented. Because he can give you a vague answer like he did. or you could some what walk him thru exactly what you're asking for then he could see, "oh what you're asking for is ncaa football's rising star high school tournament. oh yeah thats definitely a thing we could implement fairly easily."

now of course we would like it be exact by 2020 (real highschools, their likeness, real colleges, real d-league teams/rosters, real FIBA teams/rosters. but right now we would be willing to take ncaa football esk style rising star with the tourney in the beginning.

I'll throw out another bone. How EA can make a few extra books off of us users(which they will try anyway). like 2k has with VC.

instead of allowing people to outright pay for coins to use for ratings boost.(perm or temporary).

what you do is, give people the option to pay for more chances to play certain drills.
if you dont pay, lets say you get 2 chances at each drill before the season starts. the more you pay, the more chances you get at the same drills. This way, at least everyone still has to use these drills in order to beef up our rising star guy, which will become our online player. so i'm saying there are no quick boosts by paying extra cash. you still have to put in the time/work in the gym. lol
