Ignite Engine lol

Wed Sep 10, 2014 12:00 pm

So remember when EA said the ignite "engine" was too advanced and complex to be run on PC's, which is the reason why Live 14 couldn't be put on PC :D

Well they just released Fifa 15 demo today, that features the Ignite "engine" so I guess it runs fine on PC now eh EA, suppose it works when there's money to be made..... on Fifa though, cuz Lord knows nobody will buy Live except confused kids......
So anyway here is this extremely powerful "engine" running on average at around 300 fps on my system, and that's only in 1080p... and this is WITHOUT crossfire, so only 1 of my cards is working, if I turned the other one on, I would be playing this shit on 500fps +

so many liessssssss EA how you stay in business I don't know, but :applaud:

You're late to the party. The PC version of FIFA was announced to be next-gen in early June.

^ I don't think I've ever called anyone a name on a forum, but on a short fuse today, sooooooo you're an *edited* ..... I already know that.....

what I'm showing you is that today is the FIRST time people can actually test out this Ignite next gen bullshit on our PC's, because the Fifa 15 ignite demo just got released today, it's the first time any of us are able to see how Ignite performs on PC's, and here is the result of EA's lies.... once again as expected, it's BS

Did you really need this to prove it? You're aware that many PCs are more powerful than consoles, right? I'm sure you are. So given that, it should be a no brainer that Ignite could run on PCs. We didn't need this to confirm it.

dude, please, just stop talking you're embarrassing yourself.... you not only missed the point of my thread first time around, but your second reply stinks of illiteracy as well, do you even have a sarcasm meter ?? I think I have to spell it out for you... maybe I'll just caps lock it, and sit back watch what you reply with next :applaud:

THE POINT OF THE THREAD IS EA SAID IGNITE CAN NOT WORK ON PC BECAUSE OF IT'S COMPLEXITY, AND YET A YEAR LATER HERE WE ARE..... WITH IGNITE......... ON THE PC......... RELEASED BY EA.........

the other point of my thread is obviously Live 14 could have been released on PC, and Live 15 could be released on PC as well this October, but EA instead decided to lie to us like your little brother did when your mom asked him if he stole your candy....
these are the same people who want US to take them seriously, who want US to buy their product, who want US to fatten their pockets....

I really can't wait to hear what excuse (lie) they will come up with when someone who can't be ignored asks them and they are forced to go on record and answer why Fifa 15 is on PC with Ignite, and Live 15 isn't... no excuses now, but what wild BS story will they come out with though, can't wait

You shouldn't call someone illiterate when you have a severe lack of grammar in your posts.

oh good, you finally fully understand the thread and subject at matter...... although I had to pretty much spell it out for you, but that's good, pat on the back buddy (Y)

Re: Ignite Engine lol

It could've been that they just downgraded the graphics? Just saying because I don't want to read shitty, ignorant, toddler-like responses from people.

Re: Ignite Engine lol

Thu Sep 11, 2014 2:49 am

every once in a while I have to troll back idiots, it's how I stay sane on forums that are filled with ignoramuses

buuuut they didn't downgrade anything, I mean what is Ignite really ?? nobody went into any new tech discussion, there was no videos detailing the new engine, etc... for example when any of the other bigger companies release a completely new engine they go all out with presentations and video demonstrations that in detail show you clearly the differences and updates.
Ignite has had absolutely none of that, EA just came out and said hey guys "ignite" believe us..... and 2K sports did the exact same with "Locomotion" I mean they literally like mentioned it once or twice and tried to pass it off as a new system the game runs on.

I wish I still had my old 660 GTX TI, that I used for Fifa 13 and got around 120fps with, I wonder how it would run Ignite so I have a comparison of the "old" and "new" engine, right now I'm just running 2 crossfire R9 290x's, but for the video only 1 of them was enabled

And again, please don't call anyone ignorant when your posts look like a 6 year old typed them.

Why are you still in this thread ? You responded to my post with a stupid assumption that was dead wrong, I called you out (which I don't even do on forums but I was having a testy day) so now you mad you lost the argument and looked like a fool, aaaaaaaaaand trying to get the last word..... you're a winner at life sir :applaud:

Re: Ignite Engine lol

You won the argument? Try again.

Re: Ignite Engine lol

Thu Sep 11, 2014 5:57 am

Not much of an argument, you came off trying to be a smartass when you missed the whole point of the thread so you ended up looking like an idiot.... And now you're just butthurt trolling, and I don't feed trolls nor live in their sad little world

Re: Ignite Engine lol

I'm such a troll for telling you that the topic was useless for obvious reasons.

Get blocked. Enjoy talking to yourself.

Re: Ignite Engine lol

Thu Sep 11, 2014 8:02 am

So to recap....

you come into my thread and like a know it all troll, gets put in place because obviously you only read the very first sentence of my original post.... instead of manning up and getting back to discussing the topic at hand, you spend multiple posts trying to troll my grammar, after derailing the topic completely, you block me, strong logic all around man

And in your opinion this Ignite topic is "useless for obvious reasons", :facepalm2: you mean the first time Ignite is available on PC...... the first time we can see how it performs on PC.... the very first precedent for a possible future of Live on PC, the core architecture of the game and how it relates to us as Live fans.... "useless for obvious reasons"
I give up man, you're either completely clueless, or on a whole other troll level beyond my comprehension....

and sorry mods, I know topic got out of hand... but I can't stand know it all trolls, I had to speak my mind for once on this forum

To be somewhat on topic, I guess this shows that 2K15 may not be as demanding as some people (like myself) have been speculating because of the System Requirements released.

As far as the argument on the thread...It all happened due to TBM's first comment. ChrisCP3Paul's thread was about how EA's reasoning for not brining Live 14 for PC was a load of ****, and that games based on EA's Ignite engine is not as demanding as EA made it out to be. But TBM's comment makes it look like ChrisCP3Paul just learned about Fifa 15 being the NG Ignite Engine based game. Clearly that was not the point of the post, whether TBM didn't read carefully or he had alternative motives the comment was not thought out well enough. Chris should have played it cool, but called names and things escalated. Both parties are at fault here. Chris for taking it seriously, and TBM for his initial comment and the fact it seems nowhere in this thread did he accept that he made a mistake. Only comments continuously targeting the OP. Geez...

They didn't downgrade the graphics on PC. The fifa 15 demo looks identical to the demo on xbone. I tried to look for differences, but it's a straight port. The heavily aliased cut scenes where they zoom in on players look exactly the same on the pc. Again, no difference from PC and xbone.

I'm disappointed because the PC version has almost no graphic settings to tweak other than 4x anti aliasing. I was planning on getting it on PC, because I thought for these "next gen" games they will actually give us more graphical settings, but they didn't, pre-order stays on xbone.

But yeah, ignite engine doesn't look to be anything special.

^ chicago yea, the options on PC fifa are barebones, and the AA doesn't even work that well, I mean I can still see jaggies sitting on my couch playing the game on my bigscreen, and I have it set to 4xAA.... straight port, minimal PC, but what can we expect really..... I don't know if we are able to use Sweet FX to make it look better on PC, havent tried it yet I assume it should work....
But what we should expect and pretty much where I was going with the thread, is how about Live 16 for PC next year, absolutely no excuse whatsoever now that Fifa and NHL are out both running "ignite" if you even believe in whatever they claim Ignite really is, still to this day they haven't even come out and spoke on any details about it, it's just a marketing buzzword

xKrNMBoYx yea great explanation (Y) I never argue with nobody on forums I'm a grown man, just ignore it or respectfully discuss, but was having a rough day that day and dude really got on my nerves with his ignorance, and I kept going because I'm one of those guys who has to finish what they start

Too bad NBA Live 15 isn't on PC. I'd like to try it.

I think modders would be able to borderline fix the damn game to a playable level if it was released on PC and with a reasonably easy file structure that allows easy modding.

It'd be easier to make Lindsay Lohan a virgin again than for any modders to make the game playable.
