HYDROZAFT 2015 DRAFT CYBERFACES - PACK #1 RELEASED + PREVIEWS

Postby JPark on Tue Aug 05, 2014 6:49 pm

Hi! I'm JPark. This is actually my FIRST cyberface creation, so any criticism, help, etc. is welcomed. I know the face is way too light and the texture is bad bc i used somewhat of a low quality image of Okafor. Honestly this sucks, but its all good haha This preview is in 2k13, and hopefully i can transfer any future draft work into 14 or 15. Not many people started on the 2015 draft projected rookies, (since its kinda early but its never too early right?) and this is one of the very few Jahlil Okafors' out there  I'll make sure to improve more on it. I just created a cyberface using a different face map, I do believe Thomas Robinson(?) and then put it onto a Cliff Robinson base bc the lips were a perfect fit to Jahlil in real life (atleast what the cf indicates) Soooooo if you have any questions or want to improve on this and help out, please feel free to slide into my pms and ill be happy to send you the dds files and .iff work

ALSO HUGE SHOUTOUT TO JAOSMING. I was watching his tutorials ALL DAY yesterday and i think i got the basic knowledge on how to create cf's but ill try to learn more in depth along the way.

Looking good. Did you fix the blending on Turner?. His face was lighter than the head you put it on and you can see the difference when you look at him from the side. (Really noticeable). Oubre looks good.

On another note, can I use these CFs in the March Madness 2k15 mod? I will give you credit for creating them and this will help make the mod even better.

glad someone has realized that makng the 15 draft class could be useful!

Even if pc 2k15 is a next gen port ( it wont be  ) a 2015 class on PC would still be awesome. CFs are looking good so far!

Idk why but im having a harder time with him...so im gonna start off from scratch again and hopefully it'll turn out better than the ones Ive currently made. And once i figure out how to properly create these green normal maps and know more about them(and i know how-ish, through jaosmings tutorial) then ill attempt at making the entire 1st round mock 2015 draft :)

And Yes, you can definitely use them! :D

Im gonna start creating a new one, hopefully it turns out better than the one i havenow. I just gotta learn more about these normal green maps and i do know how to make them through jaosmings tutorial on youtube, I just cant properly make them or something...Like i cant match the exact face detail n stuff to the cf map i made. oh well

And yes you can use them!!! :D

This is certainly not an attitude we're looking to foster here at the NLSC. You're far from the authority on telling people what they 'should' or 'shouldn't' be releasing. I suggest you find something constructive to say, or mind your own thread with your own releases. In fact, scanning your posts, you've been incredibly inflammatory during your brief stay here. I suggest making today the day you turn over a new leaf and play nice in the sandbox.

Everybody is certainly free to post suggestions, constructive criticisms, etc. etc. etc., but try not to go full retard in the process.

One thing I would suggest to you is familiarizing yourself with the all of the heads in 2K. Yes there's a lot, but I have spent many days just going through heads using the NBAX_Mod Tool trying to find heads that were similar to someone I was creating (just copy all png files into a separate folder to make it easier). I did that because I myself am not great on reshaping heads. I can tweak a lot of things but it really helps me out to find a similar head and put a good texture on it. Usually the head shape and nose are what I look for as far as similarities. This is a non-advanced way to get some good results until you get better. It definitely takes some time. Also get familiar with the green and white texure in the CF file. I fix up a lot of those because there's a lot of people who actually neglect that part, but it all works together. Finally, don't be afraid to ask questions, but also don't be afraid to try things on your own. I have reached out to many. Though not everyone I reached out to responded to a question I had, I simply moved on and asked someone else and we have a pretty good community of guys who will help you out if you're also willing to put in the work. Also, you may not even get a direct answer, but they'll direct you to a helpful link. Could you really ask for more? Anyway, keep at it.

YES THANK YOU! And yeah, I was actually going through the actual game itself, especially for Jahlil Okafor, and found a pretty decent base in my opinion. hahaha Yeah Im actually a "rookie" to CF making since I JUST started. And i thought it would be cool to release things that people havent done yet..for months! But ill def take your advice and try to expand and move forward with them. :D

and now im the bad person? You called me retarded when my commentary was completly respectfull and constructive, my own thread has better cyberfaces for you personal information and now the bad people are you because you are trying to make me look like the baddest here, and its not like this. next time try to find better arguments before trying to criticize me. And looke here is that respectfull post that you were crying off....

Hey guys chill haha, I know they aren't "good" to the people who have been professionally making cf in the community, but to me, as someone who just started out, thinks it's good. And since the 2015 draft rookies are HIGHLY requested this early, I want to be able to just provide an EARLY sample so that people on NLSC in the future will reflect back on these "pre-CFs" and continue to make better ones. Like your Jahlil is SOOOO much better than mine, I can completely agree on that. I'm currently using yours over mine in my game right now haha like i praise your current work :) but hopefully ill learn quick enough to make higher standard cyberfaces. Lets just say im literally in my rookie season playing for NLSC right now

Good job for just starting out. Better than my first attempts thats for sure. Myles Turner looks good, but one thing that needs to be fixed is his Alpha texture. For some reason his eyebrows are too shiny and the place where his eyebrows used to be has no sweat or shine. Once you fix that it'll be great. You'll be up there by 2K15! (Y)

The cf's are good, but they still need some work. Im also working on 2015 cfs so i'll say what i think.
Jahlil: the headshape needs improvement, your's i something like a square, here are some pics to work on:
http://www.trbimg.com/img-50ac9413/turb ... 21-001/600
But the texture is realy good, what i would do is lower the contrast and try to edit a Little bit the skintone.

With mylees Turner you have really to match the skintone, and i reccomend you not using demar derozan's headshape.

For the others i dont know what to say, i havent started to work on them.

Keep up the goodwork (Y)

Look on the Euro teams, I found a great head model i used for Jahil Okafor in 2k13 last year but i was pretty bad at doing Cyberfaces and Jaosming's Tuts did not help me at all. All of his Tuts are good besides the CF creation ones so I would just like to say, good job on the faces because they look pretty good so far besides the Okafor. Still pretty good though, tried to make a Lil B the BasedGod CF and he ended up having a golden face and looked like Chris Duhon...
