Thanks. You really have to appreciate how well Jaosming hid the surrounding area with the buildings and the beach. I saw the shorts in a couple different photos with different colorways. Nothing I spent a lot of time on, but if anyone would like to play with it, here you go.

ChatGPT is helping me to understand some things about NBA 2K that I didn't previously understand back when I was modding NBA 2K14.
Below info is the confirmed info. This will probably help me look at the shoe_global in later 2K games.

Info below is based on the style.rmce file that is created by red MC after exporting the "style" within the shoe_global.iff using RED MC:

Offset Block: only 20-23 are needed to change a shoes Brand in the shoe menu
Shoes will appear under a specific shoe brand menu depending on value assigned

Better understanding and explanation than I originally had

Offset Block:10-11 displays the shoe ID number

so in RED MC opening the default shoe_global.iff will display '1247_style' as the first sub-file.


if you export that as a .rmce file and open it in a hex editor program then you will notice offset block 10 and 11 display DF 04.
That is the backward byte aligned representation of hex (hexadecimal) value 04DF.
04DF is the hexadecimal equivalent of '1247' (the number 1247 is in decimal format)

Looks like some of this info is starting to payoff. I was able to add a new shoe slot in NBA 2K23 shoe menu but I have a lot more work to do to get this to NBA 2K14 shoe vault level of breakthrough

good day sir, is it possible to set the colorways shoes to appear as default shoes? so no need to load roster to used colorway shoes specially im on mycareer main..i think the key is editing the shoe global, been looking for the solution for couple of days..And also been wondering if we could export the shoe color dds files of the colorway shoes so we could just put it in the shoe_ng.iff file??i really appreciate your hard works sir!

i have this shoe global ( cant really remember where i got it) that make random non editable shoes appears in colorways as default, like luka1, couple of jordan, nike, converse and more on adidas etc., I've done a lot of trial and error experiments like interchanging the files inside the shoe global with a normal shoe global that i exported from 2k24 and found out that the reason behind it is the " itemconsolidatedtable file" inside the shoe global. And i thought this file can be edited by Hex editor, since im no good in computer programming i started my research and stumble on your thread about using Hex editor on shoe global..
