34-teams... one day I'll make all the logos, and start adding some fun non-NBA like teams, such as the one agolden referenced in his last post. The old NBA JAM let you play as people like Bill Clinton and Al Gore, so I see no reason why we shouldn't have things like this in JAM 2K14... :D

Teams Added:
- '09-'10 Cleveland Cavaliers
- '06-'07 Golden State Warriors

DOWNLOAD

HOF 2K14 Main Folder Files 1
HOF 2K14 Main Folder Files 2
HOF 2K14 Roster & Settings

Folder Files 2 is uploading right now... should be 85.65 MB. If it's less, then you're not getting the most up to date file. Check again in 5 minutes... Everything else should be good to go (you shouldn't even have to download Folder Files 1 if you already have recently...)

That's just something personal I was messing with, thinking to myself "what would be a fun squad to run with in this mod". The List is endless.

Postby bigh0rt on Sun Apr 27, 2014 12:43 pm

Guys, if there are any interesting teams I haven't added, please let me know! It doesn't have to be a good team. In fact, some of our 'bad' teams are the most fun Arcade Teams (like the Clippers team that's in there)!

I'm looking at, possibly...

'92 Cavs (Brandon, Price, Kerr, Ferry, Nance, Hot Rod Williams) <-- 3-Point White Guy Central
'02 T'Wolves (Brandon, Billups, Szczerbiak, Garnett, Joe Smith)
''96 T'Wolves (Brandon, J.R. Rider, rookie Garnett, Gugliotta, Laettner, Spud Webb) <-- plus sweet throwback uniforms
'11 Mavs (Kidd, Terry, Marion, Dirk, Chandler, Stojakovic) <-- who even remembers Peja being on this team? Not me...

I know there's awesome players who I haven't thought of, or don't remember. I'm trying to find a Stephon Marbury squad, but having trouble... If it's at all possible to make it work, I will!

Help me out guys, what awesome players to use have I overlooked??

Oh, and for those actually reading... I silently updated to 36 teams... the 2 added teams... split-squad of the 1992 Dream Team.

Also...

'97 Washington Bullets (Strickland, Tracy Murray, Juwan Howard, Webber, Muresan, Ben Wallace) <-- this was requested, I'd like to try and do it
'97 Detroit Pistons (Hunter, Dumars, Grant Hill, Terry Mills, Ratliff, Otis Thorpe) <-- Grant Hill's peak, awesome funky Pistons teal uniforms
'03 Washington Wizards (Hughes, Jordan, Stackhouse, Laettner, Kwame Brown) <-- cause, Jordan
'96 Atlanta Hawks (Blaylock, Jon Barry, Steve Smith, Laettner, Mutombo) <-- sweet gradient uniforms
'01 Denver Nuggets (Van Exel, Pack, Lenard, McDyess, LaFrentz, McLoud) <-- cool navy uniforms, LOTS of 3PT firepower
'03 Memphis Grizzlies (Williams, Miller, Battier, Gooden, Swift, Gasol) <-- I would be remiss if I didn't get White Chocolate in
'03 Indiana Pacers (Tinsley, Miller, Artest, O'Neal, Brad Miller, Harrington) <-- more or less the team from the Malace at the Palace
'04 New Orleans Hornets (B-Diddy, Wesley, Mashburn, PJ Brown, Magloire, David West)
'08 New Orleans Hornets (CP3, Stojakovic, Mo-Pete, West, Chandler, BIRDMAN)
'05 Miami Head (Payton, Wade, Walker, Zo, Shaq, Jason Williams) <-- might end up being the most fun team to play with ever
'08 Seattle Sonics (Watson, Durant, Jeff Green, Szczerbiak, Wilcox, Kurt Thomas) <-- Durant in a Sonics uniform

I tihnk if you want to get white chocolate in, the 00 or 01 Kings would probably be best. Vlade, CWebb, Peja, Williams, Williamson/Barry or Christie/Turkoglu with those sweet all purple alternates

or 04 Mavs with those shiny grey jerseys. Nash Finley Dirk Jamison Walker Howard

04 Mavs are already in, and I may have to tweak the Kings, because I included the Bibby version with Vlade, Webber, Peja, and Christie ('01-'02).

Just finished the '96-'07 Detroit Pistons, and the '95-'96 Minnesota T'Wolves.

Guys, in true NBA JAM form, in addition to polling for fun classic teams that could be included, also let me know what 'special' teams you'd like to see added. In the classic game, via different codes, you could be Bill Clinton, Al Gore, team mascots, even Mortal Kombat characters. I was thinking of talking to some of the respective modders, and see if I can't include teams like the Tune Squad, Monstars, DC, Capcom, etc. teams. Is this something you guys would find interesting? If so, I'll gladly put the work in. If not, however, then I won't bother. I think it'd be a fun little ditty to add to the mod, along with a team I'm going to call 'Zen Masters' which agolden has made, which has individual coaches playing in their suits, and whatever else people can come up with that are both fun and possible. So, let me know.

Aside from that, here are the teams I'm looking to add in the near future, in no particular order...

'92 Cavs (Brandon, Price, Kerr, Ferry, Nance, Hot Rod Williams)
'02 T'Wolves (Brandon, Billups, Szczerbiak, Garnett, Joe Smith)
'11 Mavs (Kidd, Terry, Marion, Dirk, Chandler, Stojakovic)
'97 Washington Bullets (Strickland, Tracy Murray, Juwan Howard, Webber, Muresan, Ben Wallace)
'03 Washington Wizards (Hughes, Jordan, Stackhouse, Laettner, Kwame Brown)
'03 Memphis Grizzlies (Williams, Miller, Battier, Gooden, Swift, Gasol)
'03 Indiana Pacers (Tinsley, Miller, Artest, O'Neal, Brad Miller, Harrington)
'04 New Orleans Hornets (B-Diddy, Wesley, Mashburn, PJ Brown, Magloire, David West)
'08 New Orleans Hornets (CP3, Stojakovic, Mo-Pete, West, Chandler, BIRDMAN)
'05 Miami Head (Payton, Wade, Walker, Zo, Shaq, Jason Williams)
'08 Seattle Sonics (Watson, Durant, Jeff Green, Szczerbiak, Wilcox, Kurt Thomas)
'13 Miami Heat (Wade, Allen, LeBron, Battier, Bosh, Miller)

That'd put us over the 50-team mark.

“Basketball isn't easy. All my life I've been striving to make myself better. It's a full time commitment. To be the best, you have to work the hardest. You have to chase what seems impossible over and over and over again. Cause giving up is not an option, and when you feel like you've reached your limit, it's only the beginning, that's when it's time to dig deep, to find the courage to push some more, because if you've got the drive, the discipline, and the resolve to do what it takes to make yourself great, then the rewards are endless.”

Maybe '11-'12 Clips, the original iteration of Lob City? CP3, Blake, Jordan, Swaggy P, Mo Williams, Billups, or even Randy Foye (who were all DRAINING 3s that year) -- not that Reddick, Barnes, and Crawford aren't themselves, or that Bledsoe wasn't last year. Hmmmmm. I'll definitely get one of those CP3/Blake/Jordan groups in, for sure.

That's pretty neat. I'm actually ideally looking for some team specific dornas due to the colorful reflections they provide on the black court. I'm just unsure how those files work, especially the .cdf files. We used the same arena for every team, so ideally it'd just be one texture I could re-name for each team that would work perfectly, but I truly have no idea how it all works.

I'd like to find out, and get a dorna template, cause I know I could make them. Anyone who knows anything about putting custom dornas in-game (ideally that won't overwrite original ones, but I'd settle for it if they had to), reply or hit me up.

Added the '91-'92 Cavs, '05-'06 Miami Heat, , and '96-'97 Washington Bullets; and fixed some other issues that arose, such as Dream Team Laettner being headless, and the old Nuggets uniforms not showing up due to a typo within RED MC, etc. Have not released yet, but should tonight.

Soon I'm going to take a short break from adding teams (probably), and do all the logos, and try to do the dornas for each team as well.

I think at this point I've made 80 damn uniforms already for this thing.

How about the Bulls with Noah, Boozer, Deng, Korver, Rose and Scal? Don't remember the year though... I think it's 11-12?

100% getting a healthy Rose team in. He's a guy I definitely want to play with. 10-11 was the year Rose won the MVP, if I recall correctly, and has all the players you're referring to (including TheScalabrine -- also Omar Asik was on that team as a Rookie, interestingly enough). If I went 11-12 instead, I could have Rip Hamilton or Jimmy Butler, but neither of them deserve to get in over TheScalabrine.

Ok, putting '10-'11 Chicago Bulls on my list: Rose, Korver, Deng, Boozer, Noah, SCALABRINE. (Y) (Y)

Also forgot to mention that I again tweaked all of the dunk packages. I made I think 6 pre-packaged Dunk Packages to assign to different dunkers, along with some of the guys who already had player specific ones. Overall you should see, after the next update, a greater variety of dunks, more exciting dunks in general, and a more Arcade-y feel. I'm sure I'll continue to create additional 'packages' and assign them. For now, though, I'm liking what I see. I also assigned more of the custom layup packages, and fixed all (maybe I missed one or two, let me know) the weird assignments, like the big men having the Guard layup package, and the tiny speed guards who had the Big layup package. (Y)

Furthermore, to anybody who does player body modifications. If anyone is interested in making some exaggerated body types for this mod, that'd be awesome. Meaning, if a guy has the Skinny body type, have his arms and legs be exaggeratedly skinny, or if a guy is ripped, have him be excessively so. Just something I think would be a cool option to have, if anybody who does these things ([Cam], Lagoa, etc. -- anyone interested!) is interested in giving it a look. (Y) (Y)

If you're doing college teams, this year or last years Louisville team would be good for arcade basketball. Wichita State would also be good because of the dunking ability and sheer number of lobs thrown by them :P
