Best way to create a completely generated ficticious roster?

Fri Aug 16, 2019 12:42 am

Hey guys, not the most experienced roster creator, I don't think I'm even experienced enough to consider myself someone that can make the simplest of rosters.. however I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to completely wipe out all of the real world players and construct a roster with fake/generated players, whether using 2k's CAP generating system, or just changing stuff within REDMC ? .. I would like to know as I want to make a fake roster with custom teams, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Send me a PM with your email address. I have a excel spreadsheet that is supposed to randomize the CAP appearances. I never used it and I don't know who made it. I searched the forums but could not find any more info.

You can also randomize the first and last names if you want to use names that are in the roster database. You need to use MS Excel or LibreOffice or FreeOffice and RedMC. Copy the first_names list and paste to the spreadsheet. Remove any unwanted names. You can add names but they will not be used by the announcers or PA guy. You then need to randomize the column. Paste these names in to your roster. Repeat for the last names. If you want a number of names repeated add them to your list. Such as a few Smith, Jones, Bob or Jims. You have to search the internet for your application for specific directions. The links below may be useful. They should all use the "=RAND()" formula. This will mix the names used in the game.
