Will it negate your edits if I load the appropriate files into the correct folder, select default sliders, then edit the sliders?

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Nope. I only really made the tunedata.iff sliders for the 40 ft shot mod to be used in my career. The tunedatai.iff default sliders are just from suggested preferences of other players most of my edits are in the animations itself so feel free to set what you want.

AZRA wrote:And lastly, I think 38 and 42 are too low a rating for pass accuracy.

Will tweak. Then I will probably get the hands attribute value up so CPU will try stealing passes again making the turnovers. (Y)

Seushiro do you think it's possible to completely remove the layup switch where the entire body twists when you press shoot again after a layup/dunk in mid-air? Y'all know what I'm talking about, it's been there since the PS2 days.

Me and Bighort have the global Hands slider at 15 or 20 for his roster. We found that it leads to more bobbled passes. Honestly, I haven't seen anything that tells me it actually makes the CPU try to deflect passes. IMO, Go for Steal and Play Passing Lane Tendencies influence that behavior from the CPU. If you or someone reading this would do more testing it would be great to either confirm or deny what our testing showed.

Sir isn't the layup success too low for the 40ft mod?

Ok confirmed testing after a bunch of full games with each of the ff: 4 scenarios tested.

- Hands 100 Passing Lanes 30
Useless not a single intercept attempted except for the alley oop passes

- Hands 100 Passing Lanes 50
CPU attempts steals but not that much on fast breaks, i think only thing hands played here are the deflections do not bounce of CPUs hands and is an auto steal

- Hands 50 Passing Lanes 100
Ideal CPU scenario where you cannot make that "I just feel like passing play" CPU will try to deflect

- Hands 30 Passing Lanes 100
Pretty much like the ideal scenario above except the passes you make that will be "Bad Passes" Roll of a bit further and thus the slow reaction animations play when the CPU deflects

---------------------------------------------------------
So you are 100% correct as hands having nothing to do with pass stealing. As for On-Ball Steals no need to test this. Only time CPU uses this (if on Ball is above 50) is when you do too many fakes and they swipe you when you finally decide to do the shot and when backing down on the post. The steals from bad ball handling (trying to do a behind the back and hits a person & forcing the dribble through a crowd and ball hits a person) are not related to this slider.

So just that one animation right? Not all of the adjusted layup/dunk animations when you want to cancel out in air to avoid a block?
Image

EDIT: I guess it is not easy to find. I looked up LAYUP_CHANGESHOT changed a couple of them yet no changes in game so I need to find out what the name of those animations are first.

With Curry just 1/10 from 3 pts against the lakers looks right.... nah kidding aside is it not 75 that i put for the tunedata.iff with the 40ft Mod? that should be close to NOrmal shooting with a few misses.

Yes this one AZRA.

I think we need to do something about the GIFs in the thread. Either reduce the framerate or use videos.

Is it possible to remove the layup that big-men tend to use when they do a double-pump layup while jumping away from the basket? I don't have a GIF for it but it is TURRIBLE.

How did you combine the shoulder sleeve & other arm accessories? Btw. You could also use imgur for alternatives to your GIFs.

@ Slimm44 and Medevenx well this will be the first time I'm going to zero out and animation outsidde of shots so I dunno how it will look like yet when it reads the blank shot type I will force it to load. I will post whatever result I get once I do find those lay ups and cancel em out.

@InanynlL It may not be seen clearly but it actually has a gap of skin even with the global I use. What Medevenx did was use the long Wrist Band and the padded Elbow pad. In the UHD global I'm using even the elbow pad has a Hex pad.

Would it also be possible to make the CPU ball handler maintain speed through the layup or dunk instead of slowing down? Preferably in fast break situations.

Can't carry over the speed from a previous animation will need to edit the layup and dunk animations speeds for that. Each animation in the game has its own speed counter. Even a walk to jog, jog to run, and run to sprint has an animation to transition it. So unless we know the animation name of which Dunk or Lay ups are used during sprint then I would not know which animations to increase in speed.

No major update but I would say it is the little things that I tweaked to game play once again by manipulating the animations.

In this patch I:
- finished editing all post move files. Last edit I left out some animations I was not sure of. So transitions are realistic and smooth (go combine with your cross overs to really trick CPU at least now bigmen will have a weapon)
Image
Image

- Speed up the loose ball and out of bounds ball save animations just by 3 values to be sure it will look normal yet you can save the ball before the second bounce if within range
Image
Image

- Ankle break recovery has been tampered with (only for Fall and drop, stumble not affected) So they fall at the usual speed but they no longer just pop right up to block your shot which looks glitchy they remain down 1.5 seconds longer
Image
Image

- Behind the back Dribble move 3 and 7 the ones most common to turn over have been changed

Just use all your weapons and enjoy passing thru all 4 defenders like a boss...
Image

EDIT: Updated file behind the back dribble 7 was using the wrong starting hand so had to switch hands in the animation.
