I think he's trying to say how come the yellow bars don't turn black after time-outs. (Which you already explained.)

The violation panel names look like they're about to fall off the scoreboard, so it would look realistic if the names were closer to the center like this (the scoreboard is still awesome though)

And for the timeout bars, if you've seen my picture, the bar is not full, you can see a little bit of the bar is shaded black

This is because you are playing with 16:9 apsect ratio monitor I suppose.
Currently ESPN is made only for 16:10.

Font auto-resizing by game causes the weird font for you. This is OK.
Wait till 16:9 version will be released with adopted Quarter fonts.
