Re: [Tool/In Development] RED Modding Center (2K14 Edition)

Once the consoles are out, and we can get files from them onto PC, i'll take a look. This promises to be an interesting challenge, but not enough info techincal info right now.

Sounds good! If you let me know what files you need, I'll be happy to send them to you on Friday.

You mean turning auto-save off in game modes? I thought, the in-game settings screen allows to do so...

Nope, you can't turn off auto-save via in-game settings since 2K13.

No matter what order I select the players or what height they are, they are always locked into the wrong positions (except the SF position). Even manually changing the player height and position in the player edit menu has no effect. I was wondering if this was due to the ASA_ID or some other factor. Thank you very much. (Y)

Not sure, if ASA_ID has something to do with it. But i'm 95% sure, it is the .exe file, which is responsible for this. So, the game just randomly assigns players... This exasperates me as well.

Perhaps it has something to do with 2K creating the game this year with the new "Next Gen" consoles in mind, and this also affected the PC version. Hopefully a patch fix will eventually be released.

more of a general question, not 2k14 related.
players have position and then their type, ie scoring, shooting, 3pt specialist, all around etc...
is there a setting for that in reditor?
when you change their position they automatically default to all-around type. what happens if you change their position in reditor?

Vl@d Zola Jr. wrote:Hello, everybody!

I publicly announce, that RED MC for 2K14 is under development. :)
I will be posting major updates about the on-going development process in this thread until the tool is released.
The first post contains regularly (once in 1-3 days) updated Road To Release, so the development can be monitored by you.
The stages go in the consecutive order, but several neighbouring stages can be in progress simultaneously.
"Done" means, the stage is finished.
Percentage means, the stage is currently in progress, and defines, how much is already done on it.
"TBD" means To Be Done, so these stages haven't begun yet.

Expected Release Date: November 2013 (more narrow period of time will be set as soon as the "Integrate sources" stage gets complete)

Road To Release:

1. Get PC version of the game - Done
2. Get the necessary files - Done
3. Define struct sizes - Done
4. Decompress structs - Done
5. Build file matrix - Done
6. Manually decode struct fields - Done
7. Generate sources - Done

8. Integrate sources - 70%
9. Update MyFriend Panel - TBD
10. Adjust Licensing & Purchasing Systems - TBD
11. Beta-testing - TBD
12. Create documentation - TBD

13. Release :)

Future Releases Plans:
- Full Roster Control - Stage 2: functionality to fully manage roster contents, so it will be possible to free up even more space for Ultimate Retro rosters. Also the ability to see the exact amount of free space and how much cloning of this or that item will take. Plus easy 2-3-clicks roster conversions between game platforms.
- More save-folder file types: draft classes, settings, sliders, exported teams, etc.
- Additionals parts of game mode files editable: sliders and settings of Association/My Career, box scores, on-going schedules, etc.
- IFF-files

FAQ:
1) The initial release will be for PC and XBox 360 platforms. PlayStation 3 is not confirmed for the initial release yet, stay tuned.
2) All licenses, which are not under General tab of the current RED MC, are 2K13 only. So, similar licenses for 2K14 will be charged separately, but discounts are applicable, if you're a returning customer.

Vlad please update your percentages. me & friends are in desperate need of red mc this year for association. Please get back to me and everyone else soon, thanks.

Question for Vlad. Last year we were able to make the players wear suits and casual/ my player shirt and shorts in game. Will we be able to do this with this version of reditor? Also, do you think it is possible that players could also be able to play in warm-ups? I imagine that it is controlled by some hex value.
